Everyone needs to know their colors/colours, it's one of the basic things you learn in school... Here's some basics...
All pronunciation are in parentheses "()". Remember, pronunciations change in dialect and location.
Here's how you ask what colour it is... What colour is it? - Cén dath atá ar? (kane dah ahtah' air?) Here's what you want to put before you put the colour... It is..- Tá sé... (tah shay) Red- dearg (djareg) Blue- gorm (gorum) Yellow- buí (bwee) Green- glas (glahs) Orange- oráiste (orrahshtah) Black- dubh (doov) White- bán (bahn) Grey- liath (lee-ah) Brown- donn (dun) Pink- bándearg (bahn-djareg) Purple- corcra (kor'-krah)
I will add more colours later, here's some basic ones... Form some sentences with the colors for me and let me see how you interpret it...

Uh, how does one pronounce "dja"? I'm trying to pronounce dearg by looking at the pronunciation guide, but I keep saying "deh-jah".
And not to be rude, but you misspelled parentheses and punctuation. wink

No harm, no foul... My English can be crappier than my Irish. lol
Like she said, it's like -Jah- Think of the "J" in the name Jerry. Combine a slight "d" vowel to it and that's the sound. You can't expect to be able to do all the sounds right off, it's like German, they have sounds that I'm not used to and I tend to make a fool of myself when I speak it. The little I know. lol

sample sentence:Ta se liath. question: can you break down orange? I know you have the pronunciation but its a little hard to figure out. Also, having American English as my first language and Chinese as my second really dose not help my speech.
