Did you hear that they are making Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief into a movie? It comes out President's Day (February 12) of 2010. If you want to see a preview, just go to youtube, and type in Percy Jackson Movie Trailer. Apparently the person who directed the first and second Harry Potter movies is directing the Lightning Thief, so it should be good.

So am I. I'm also hoping Disney doesn't mess it up like they did Prince Caspian.

Nah, it's a book called 'the Lightning Thief'. Mount Olympus, as in Home of The Gods, is one of the settings.

I know it wasn't just Caspian. Don't even get me started on Hercules Bounty! I was spitting needles whenever I saw Apollo and even more when I saw Artemis! It was like they forgot what they made her look like in the movie!

At least the series of novels happen to be partially correct[if somewhat potentially bound to be outdated in the stuff they present!]
The only real jarring in-accuracies was which Archer twin was born before whom, but even then, at least we have the benefit of the doubt that the narrators might misinterpret a deed or two[one of the symptoms might do that to his people's judgement that they'd be so close to getting it right, that it might be partially correct, and all that jazz!]
That in mind, if i would like anything more, i'd wish that the series explored the middle ages to examine how the Olympians had survived and thrived during that time[especially the Hundred-Year War between Britain and France!] plus show more combative latter-day children of Aphrodite.
There's more, but aside from examining the Camp to see if its a metaphor for a successor for the Round Table at hand or not, i have nothing to add for now.

Anyone plan to get a role-play involving the Olympians, based around the time of the 100-year war, or to try to pen such a tale, all the way leading up to when Joan of Arc arrived?
