my dad uses chewing tabacco. ive done all i can to try and make him stop, ive told him that when he chews in public that im embarrassed to be seen with him, ive told him that hes taking a chance at killing himself, ive told him that if he really, truly loves me, then he will quit, and ive even showed him pictures of people who lost their jaws because of it...but sadly, no dice. what can i do to make him stop, please, this is my dads life were talking about, i dont want to loose him. crying

As much as I hate to say it, if he won't do it, then there's not much you can do I think. My family pestered my grandma for years to quit smoking, but she never did. Eventually when I got into my teens, she quit cold turkey on day all on her own.
I mean you can still ask him to stop, or give him suggestions on things he could do to try to quit (programs, the stop smoking patch, gum, etc), but it'll have to be his decision in the end. No one can force him to stop smoking until he decides he's ready, if he ever does.

My step-mom smokes cigarettes, but my dad and I wish she didn't and smoked the other stuff(weed) instead, but her work does random drugs tests. Even her kids don't want her to, its the one thing I wish she didn't do.
