I enjoyed this anime..
but I'll say the ending didn't go to the way that i've expected...

yeah, the ending could be improved- it leaves too many openings for a sequel, which is never going to happen.. sigh

Read the manga, the anime was made before it was finished so they messed with the story a lot. I loved the anime, but the manga I loved so much more.

I heard that the manga was produced after the anime, not the way you said it was. And I heard from many ppl that the anime is way better than the manga. I know I love the anime.

No, the anime was made during the manga like the first Hellsing anime was. The anime has a bit extra things that are a very nice plot.
