Going by the prophecy cercei received at harrenhal.
She's going to be strangled to death by the valonqar, or valyrian for little brother.
Off the bat she has assumed this is tyrion, but she was born 2 minutes before jaime leaving her with two little brothers.
And i think it's more likely that after returning to kings landing and learning of his sweet sisters crimes jaime will be wringing her neck.
Then having tyrion return to westeros just to off off her.
And jaime is already considering killing her at least somewhat while he trains with payne.
And that's just from the little bit he knows, once he has the full story he's likely to snap in my opinion.
And by burning her letter for help, it seems he has finally done away with his attachment to her.
So a false love is not likely to save her on that point.

Now then anyone else have any opinions or thoughts of the valonqar prophecy?

Sounds good to me. She got what she deserved and the final blow will be when Jaime leaves her by herself.

I saw a change of Jamie when they chopped his hand off and the change grew with Breinne and I think that with these changes Jamie is going to be the one to do the strangling not just the prophecy.

I don't think it will be anything so literal as a strangling. Not quite what I expect from this series. I do think Jaime will be the cause of her death, but I don't think he could strangle her. Execute her when she's found guilty, or after she somehow escapes, yeah. Strangle? Not so much.

Or it could be that she'll hang herself, and feel that Jaime drove her to it.

I agree that it might not be so literal as Pariah said.
Martin's one to play your mind like that.
I think Jamie's like to do it though.

Then again, Martin may screw us all over
and find the little brother of someone else she's
wronged who will kill her.
Who knows.

I think Jaime might have her hung. something tells me, he might take over as regent, with Cersei out of the way. Not too likely, but its a thought I like xD But regardless, i think he will hang her. Or maybe just, not stand in the way of the Faith hanging her.

Is it possible that Jamie's burning of the letter isn't an outright "die b***h" but a way of just despising of more incest proof?

I don't think Jamie would outright kill Cersei; he loves her too much. But everyone knows that he can't exactly fight. What if he looks for a champion to serve in his place? Like Payne, for instance? He's a competent fighter, everyone agrees. Better then the other White Swords.

Idk, the letter had no incest proof. Even I love you, written thrice, could be sisterly. He ignored a direct plea for help, without a care in the world about it. Theirs no way he's helpin her. And besides, Payne cant champion. It HAS to be one of the seven. Such justice that bit of Cersei's plan bit her in the a**.

Generally just saying "I love you" is pretty tame. But in light of the incest claimes...
-Shrug-

I forgot about the White Knight rules. ^^" It's been a while since I read AFFC. I wouldn't put it past Martin to introduce some kind of caviot on there. He tends to twist inital respresentations; nothing is ever as it seems.

Well, I guess in some peoples minds, it might confrm it, but not enough to convinct them of Incest in a court. The burning, imo, had to be him burning his last ties to cersei and what they had between them.

And Idk if he could do that, its a pretty straightforward law. And Cersei is usually pretty thorough, if she was sure that Margaery wouldnt be able to use any but the seven, then Im sure she cant. Unless, of course, they decide not to count her as queen, since she was only the regent...then, while she has the ability to choose a knight of the seven, she doesnr HAVE to.

I never even thought about that. ^^"

Cersei technically isn't a queen, since Margery is of Age and she married Tommen.

I have a feeling that Cersei won't die though. Something is going to happen, to save her; Margery is too minor of a character to take over and Cersei would leave too much of a vaccum at the moment to die. Maybe that's why I want her to find a wiggle spot out. ^^"

Do you think Stark will rise to be the Ruling Family, or that Targarians will take over again? Or some combination?

Targaryens, I do believe, especially since its basically assured Jon is Rhaegars son. Now, I also believe, Bran will probably be the New hand or something, the Starks will be prominent, but the Targaryens will rule. Daeny will be queen.

And ya...I think Cersei will wiggle out. It has to be the she doesnt have to use the guard thing, only SHE sees herself as the rightful queen, no one else really does.

I think that Martin's definitely going to pull
a fast one on us.
He may, or may not, make things go back in time.
Quite possibly something along the lines
of how it was during the times of
The First Men.
The kingdoms will become kingdoms
once more, dragons will roam
and the Targaryens will once more become
supreme ruler.
However, "which" Tagaryen exactly,
I do not know.

Personally i took the burning of the letter as a severing of emotional attachment as well.
And that was probably a good thing for jaime, he did change a great deal after he lost his hand and met brienne.
So while he may forever be a kingslayer to history.
With the severing of his ties to cersei he may truly be on a road to redemption and at least the reclamation of his personal honor.
Especially since even the king slayer thing tied into cersei, she ruins him every time she lay's her claws in XD
As for the rest, i see a complete breakdown of the monarchy forthcoming.
Leaving uncounted rouge factions and uprising kingdoms to fill the gaps.
Then the wall will probably be breached spreading the war against the others and whatever else hides back there across westeros.
Somewhere in there danny and the 3 dragons will get involved and that prophecy will become active about the one to save them.
Whoever that turns out to be will probably save the world from eternal night and die in the process.
Or walk away a ruler of westeros at the end.
Unless of course the kingdom is never set to rights and remains a bunch of smaller ones at the end thus spreading both stability and chaos.
