This is about the only game in which you can actually lose. It has a storyline that you must follow or well, its game over.
You encounter the people that you do in Magical Melodies, which I thought was pretty cool, but this game also means that since this adventure, you didn't actually save the Homeland.
If you are into a more action based version of Harvest Moon, then this is the right one for you.
Its available for the PS2.

Beating the game requires you to go through all 9 storylines successfully.
This means you must pass:
Kurt's storyline Gwen's storyline Tim's storyline Joe's storyline Louis's storyline Katie's storyline Dia's storyline
Basically there are many you have to pass.
One deals with a blue bird One deals with a rare butterfly One deals with an endangered Weasel One deals with a sacred recipe One deals with treasure One deals with a sacred flower
These are all the ones I know of. But there are more. Certain characters from Flower Bud Village have something that can save the Homeland.

So you passed one storyline of the 9. That's pretty cool! I heard there is a way to do this so you don't lose at all by following a certain path of storylines. True you can only complete one at a time, but if you do things in the right order, you can win because if you pass one storyline, you get to save your progress and then even though the characters do not know you, your farm is like it has gone into a second year.
