I fostered a child years ago. while I found the interaction with the child wonderful I was not happy to send her back to her drug addicted mom. I had no control. I still wonder how that girl is doing. She is 17 this month.

I would love to foster but I think that would be the hardest part for me too, I could never let them go ;_;

Yes fostering is a good thing to do, and if possible its great to adopt them if you have the chance. If you can keep in contact with them, and let them know that you are there for them.

I've wondered about becoming a foster parent. Can anyone become one? Is there a minimum income for becoming one? What other qualifications do you need?

Not really, as long as you have a decent home they allow it. They pay you for fostering so its not a money issue, as long as your home is a good safe one it'll work

The rules for fostering are different in every state. Look it upon the internet you will find lots of information. There are also private foster organizations. Look into those too!

To be a foster parent depends on the state rules. Look it up and see if its for you.
