It's another movie that could very well be mistaken for reality (I.E. Blair Witch, Cloverfield, Quarantine...) it looks REALLY good. here's the trailer for it.

Does seem intriguing, and they actually follow the rules of the trade: Don't feed it, you'll end up with a pet.

I saw it last night. It was freaky. At first it's like oh whatever. This isn't THAT scary. But after a certain point you're just like HOLY SH*T how did that happen?! The effects were done really well! The only downfall is the shaky camera. I don't do well with that, but other than that the movie wasn't bad at all.
It starts off with your usual door slamming, creaky house noises, but then it escalates to more physical things. The neat thing is every time something was about to happen, there would be this low humming or vibration as if something was entering "our world". Every time I heard it I was bracing myself for some horrible to happen. The whole audience was bracing themselves. It was like you could feel everyone doing that.
The actors and director did a really nice job, and I actually might want to see it again, this time without eating a pack of m&ms...I'm sure that didn't help with my nausea. X.x I recommend this movie, and if its not in your area you can demand it on the paranormal activity website.
As a side note: they had to thank the san diego police and fire department, probably to keep neighbors from calling 911 from all the screaming and loud noises, which I find funny.

Is it only showing in select cities? I have a feeling I won't be able to see it for quite some time if it is.

I was in my sound class the other day and i heard a sound that was just like in the movie, and i was like HOLY s**t THE DEMON'S IN MY COMPUTER.

Just letting you guys and the wimp know, the movie is now nationwide because it got 100 demands! I think I posted this somewhere else, too. Not sure. O.o But yes, it should be in a local theater soon if not now.

Honestly I wasn't too impressed with it.
They could've passed it as actual footage If they hadn't goofed up a couple of ways.
1. Police departments aren't allowed, under any circumstances, to disclose tapes in which someone dies.
2. During the powder scene, the footprints lead outside of the closet, which leads into the attic. There was no powder in the closet and the footprints came OUT of the closet, they didn't go in. And supposedly the thing was still in their room.
