Yep, about a month left...

I'm not sure if I'll get it right away. It does look pretty cool but ehh who knows.

My friends are telling me to get it for the co-op D:
Maybe I'll give in soon.

Yeah I bought it >_>
Played a few minutes, seems promising.

Edit:

Played some more.
I like it I guess, it's not very polished though... totally console interface, meaning forcing you to press enter, pgup, etc. instead of clicking, scroll wheel rarely works in menus.
The mics are activated only by your voice it seems, no shortcut. This means that my speakers=microphone setup meant echoes for my friend until I disabled the microphone in Windows. Maybe there's an option somewhere, didn't see once...
The talk button is literally the 10 year old Unreal console. It says )> Say
And you can erase the say... its a fricking console command.

Yeah that's a good call. It's pretty good but not great...
I don't think it would be enjoyable without a co-op partner actually.

Finished the game about a week ago.

I'm still not entirely sure how to feel.

I've decided the biggest problem is the quest system. You can only track one quest at a time, one objective a time. When you get a fetch quest for 5 items it only marks one on your map. Sometimes you'll pass by several things but you won't spot them because they weren't on the map. No way to plan an efficient path... have to go where it shows you. In co-op you can't split up because of this, and you're all searching dumpsters for one thing.

Before you accept a quest you cannot do anything with the quest. For example, I ran into a caged dog with a big open cage button. Couldn't do anything. 10 minutes later I'm in town and get a quest to rescue a dog... have to go all the way back. Same deal with some of the fetch quests, you find objects but can't pick them up.
Most games trigger the quest when you find something...

This gets worse from the maps which are almost always designed to be one way. They make you go alllll the way around, then the end is near the beginning but up on a cliff or something. If you accidentally fall off you need to run back through.
Once you're a done a quest you need to run back to the start of the area. Almost always when you finish, new quests show up which need you to go back... they're optional but without doing them you're too underleveled to do anything.

There is no equivalent town portal thing, just outposts which are generally only at the beginning of an area. You run around through the same areas many, many times. It doesn't help most areas are near identical.

I won't get into the other problems I already touched on earlier... like the interface. They've been patching some problems with it actually, including the mic thing.

Some good stuff finally:
The combat is pretty fun, especially in co-op. Some enemies can only be shot in the back, so as they attack your team mate you pick them off. Encourages co-op fighting a bit.
Your effectiveness in combat is entirely related to your level, so even if you're good at FPS you can't just overpower everybody with perfect headshots. Most guns are not accurate enough and your damage is very very little against people of equal or higher levels. You're forced to take cover and use your skills.
The guns are varied and you do feel the difference quite a bit. I wouldn't say it has a bajillion guns like they do since almost all are just stat differences, but it still works. Different accuracies, clip sizes, fire rates, elemental damage stuff... it's fun finding new weapons.
It's still an addicting grinding RPG, though the skills aren't as interesting as I'd hope. In fact most I'd say are junk, but that usually happens in games anyway. Even though there are only 4 classes you do play differently based on what skills you take and you can only manage a few skills, making you decide what you want to do.
Some levels are really cool, and overall I think they all are - they only lose out because you have to run through them so many times.

I got it just on saturday and BL is very promising to me, and lived up to the expectations that i thought it would, i am just woundering if it will have any replay(as in characters carring over) and if so, just when are they going to raise the level cap. The game isn't perfect like Gharbad said but it does have major strong points on the console, as i have it for the PS3 and multi-player is very fun. The transition from multi player to singleplayer is amazingly pulled off without making it imposible. For instances, if you start a game in multiplayer, it starts where the host is(there for you are not just odd-balled around the map). As there are more players the enemies get harder, but the loot will get better. As you leave a multiplayer game and go to single player, the difficulty of the enemies goes down(but you still have your bad-a** weaponery) and the game makes it more fair for one person. The multiplayer is very well pulled off, and from what i played sofar(even though i dont know the ending) i believe that there could be a sequal in the making of borderlands. Before you go ranting"well what if the games just ends the story there?" i will say this, a sequal is very possible when the story just ends like that, they could bring back a bad guy, they could bring up a completley new story(just look at red faction) so the sequal is very possible. The game is i buy for me and i belive any one who would ask me i would recomend it for them(although it is very, VERY console based).

From what I hear they are planning sequels especially because the game has been very successful.

Once you finish the game you can replay it at a higher difficulty level. The DLC packs already raised the level cap I think.

do you know how much Dr.Zeds Zombie Island goes for?

EDIT:
I finally beat border lands, all though(SPOILER ALERT, please, if you do not like spoilers skip the next paragraph)

(spoiler)the vault didn't exactly make me happy,It made me angry that i didnt have any thing to bring back as far as riches go with that monster in the way (the ending just got spoiled if you read that)

I think I'll play it again as Brick or Mrdechei, since I was Rolland for the scorpio turret. As for doctor Zed's zombie island, I still do not know the price, if there is one, and would like to get sometime. I would like to have a higher level cap than 50. Although I am not 50 yet 50 and higher levels along with different plots and mission strands are all things that i look forward to.

Sorry I'm wrong, the level cap is still 50.
