Seriously, what's the deal with starting TWO new shops when a fairly large amount of stuff is just moved out from an existing shop to the new one? I mean, at least a quarter of Global Import's stuff used to be in Barton Boutique, so I don't really see the need for two new shops just to confuse everyone all over again.

yeah i just saw that, i was doing daily chance and saw a The Junk N Trunk Shop? idk. but it was just a collection of stuff from the jock strap. Gaia has ethnicity?  She apparently is the lesser known Housing Agent Now Gaia is Ethnically diverse and oh look It's a DEMON ELK!!!!!  Hide your children and insure your cars xD I think it's caught in some headlights, hence the glowing eyes xD Wait What? A Deer as a shop keeper and it's sposed to talk orrrr? Sooo it doesn't Talk, it just has role play actions, plus a typical vocalization of an elk? This may or may not be a good thing, I mean, if Gaia is making more b.s. pointless shops, maybe it means that they have developed way more new gaian gold items and they will release those soon? biggrin but yeah it seems kinda dumb that these shops have popped up and they don't have anything new. I kinda want to know why this Elk is in the apparently Abandoned shop, and then how did this shop become abandoned?

Yes, stuff has just been shuffled around, but, c'mon you guys!.... we're not 'sposed to realize that. This way we are all tricked into believing we're getting more.
I do like the new "silk" items. And, a few of the new Halloween things they have are good. The stockings don't "fade" on your legs like the others do.

I think that they just moved already existing stuff into the shops so they'll start out seeming more full. I'm very excited for Josie's shop, I lurv the silk stuff she got! heart
And I wonder how Carl will fit into the manga?

They probably moved the items, because they would fit better in other categories, than the shop that offered them already had.
Seriously, some items didn't belong in the shops they were in anymore, and thus I think this was a good idea, since it's easier to find 'cultural' and 'nooby' stuff now *giggle*
This gives Gaia more opportunities to update various gold items, and I sure hope they will do just that.
What's with the elk? Who knows, a gag I'd guess o_o

i am very peeved about it.
super pricey items don't fix inflation.
This is really just making Gaia a status symbol and they have really left their roots. it's just completely changed from the greatness it once had. Now it's all about status and it's dumb xD plus all the people minus everyone in this guild and a few others are all snobs. You can go out and have your own fun in gaia and get called a n00b and it's like, check the date. xD 05-er here, I might be 21 but I still act like i'm 5 xD

The new expensive items are nice, but by FAR not worth millions of gold. EI's and collectibles are still better than these, and cost less, no matter if you buy them with Cash, or go to the marketplace.
I think it's ok to make some items very expensive, but a couple of 100 thousand should do for THIS quality.
They don't even match other pieces of clothing anyway. Those I've seen wearing them look more like noobs, than people who spent like 100k on their outfit.
This looks like a scam in disguise to me. Buy more in the Cash Shop, sell it on the marketplace for gold, and then go spend it on items with only one pose. Does this make you hear the sound of money?

XD Unfortunately, not the one where lions and other animals talk (and for those who STILL don't get the hint, the one with arguably Christian overtones). That aside, yeah...the "older" 2 new stores had the merit of being somewhat justified if confusing, but this new multi-million one just seems like a thinly-disguised pseudo-cash-shop. And, single pose items are fail at that kind of price. I mean, aquarium reward gives out Titan's Legacy which has like many different poses (not that any of those look very nice either). EDIT: Agree with Ranchi above...this smells like a major scam. And 3 colourless NPCs in one shop is, IIRC, only matched by the Faktori (where the shopkeepers are at least more understandable).

I am confused by the new shops as well. Especially the multi-million gold one. According to the admins, the item prices would fluctuate up and down, so one would assume if they went low enough, you could buy the items. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the prices go down (or up for that matter) since the announcement. And now, the latest announcement for the multi-million gold shop is that it's going to be disappearing and reappearing every now and then. Why? No one knows and it was never explained. My guess: The multi-million gold shop didn't garner popularity as quickly as the creators had hoped so now, it's going to pull a Houdini and go away for awhile (though I have never seen it happen since the announcement that it would) and once it comes back, it will hopefully be more popular.
In all honesty, I wonder what Gaia was really thinking when the decision came about to make a multi-million gold shop.

well some of it was suggested that it could be a gold sink. Meaning that people will spend their money in that shop and what they would do would be to take that money out of circulation and maybe help with the inflation and so on but i don't think it's going to work because you can't stop someone for asking for 5 billion gold for items. and then if you want the item you have to get 5 billion gold. so if they take away the gold in these gold sinks, and start making it harder to get gold than it's going to be an even worse situation. X.x
