*points up at the F Connect* WTF. this is stupid. I mean i don't mind the pop ups because i have been blocking the pop up adds but this is insane. of course it looks ugly and they are so gun ho on pushing it's users into everything like, gaia cash scams that don't give out cash, a Cash lottery, Facebook and the program really sucks. it pretty much is just advertising for facebook friends to get more saps on gaia.
This is kinda dumb X.x

Lol and then if you do sign up, it alerts all ur gaian friends about it and gives them a link to ur facebook page and i think that is putting innocent people in danger. That's one of the two reasons I will never do that. I have "friends" On gaia, but I don't want them to know my name, where I live....ETC. This is bull and it's putting people into the traps of their gaian "friends". Becuase people online, can be good, but in the same event, they can be predators that prey on children and teens. I smell a catastrophe coming from this...
Does anyone agree with this?

It really annoys me too. I have no Facebook or Myspace accounts as a matter of principle. I know that Gaia pulls stuff like this and does a few announcements, so it's fairly easy to ignore. But putting a link in the freaking toolbar? If someone somehow managed to ignore the multiple Announcements and pop-ups then their too dense to notice this and otherwise it's annoying.

oh i have to agree that this is just absolutely madness, First there's an internet "security" warning and then Gaia puts in that facebook connect bar right in the main header. I mean total contradictions.

Anyone see the new announcement? "Facebook Connect, that seemingly inescapable force taking over the Internet". Yeah, inescapable (and incidentally as enjoyable) as in a forced enema (excuse me).
Oh looky, dual sign-in. Cue a new wave of hacking and all.
Oh, and "rubbing two of your favorite website accounts together" - (a) I don't have a Facebook account and don't intend to get one ever, (b) the favourite website part is being severely tested, and (c) this just sounds so WRONG.

Now I dun see it ever, along with the refill cash or Get cash button umm the gold lotto thingy, and the cash icon and the checks on the check list at the My Gaia page and and and and i went Ad Blocker happy biggrin it kinda looked like this @ Gaia Except with Mouse Arrows instead of bullets XD

Dumbest idea ever! I don't intend to get a Facebook. EVER. I'm very content with my Myspace. Something I can use to communicate with friends that have long since moved and play games for free. Facebook is overrated and overcluttered. Just wait, soon Gaia will be wanting us to get Twitter accounts to "follow them". Can anyone say stalker much?
