Personality: Altessa is bold. Bold. Bold. Bold. She’s never one to stay in the corner. This goes for every aspect of her life. From the way that she dresses, to the way that she thinks, she refuses to be in the corner, or have the spotlight taken away from her.
People who don’t know her very well would refer to her as a blond, ditzy, airhead, but that’s the farthest thing from the truth. Because of her past, and dislike of thinking about it, Altessa tries her hardest to find activities, or people who keep her busy.
In reality, Altessa is alarmingly bright, and is able to argue her way out of almost any situation.
In the past few years, her sense of humor kind of… shriveled, and decayed, however, since getting clean ((again)) she’s begun to smile more often, occasionally laugh, and in the rare occasion, make a rather witty comment about the current situation.
History: Altessa grew up in suburban Illinois. Just her, her parents and her half brother.
When she was 9, her parents divorced. Originally, the plan was for her to stay with her dad, until her mom finished college. Less than a year later, her mom was off in Florida with her new husband. Her father told her it was because she wanted a “fresh start”
When she was 12, her father met Ashley Nightly. That November, she moved in, with her two children.
In the summer before 8th grade, Altessa started smoking, and you know what they say: one vice leads to another. She was 13.
Within the next two years, she was drinking every day. Ashley didn’t want her children around a “girl like that” and sent them off to live with their father.
One night Peter caught Altessa drawing the fight he and Ashley had had the night before. (She was out, that night and had no way of knowing) Realizing his daughter was a mutant, he packed her up, an sent her to live with her mother.
When she arrived in Florida, her mother was overjoyed. That afternoon, over a lunch at one of those fancy sidewalk cafes, her mother told her about her two children, her husband, and the fact that her father had divorced her, because she was “mutant scum.” The “fresh start” story was all a lie, to make her hate her mother.
Altessa didn’t care. She just wanted to find someone who could get her a fake id. That night she snuck out. She couldn’t find anyone.
For the next three days, she stayed out, till she found a guy. When she returned home, her mom kicked her out, not wanting her to corrupt her young children. (Age 15)
Eventually, Altessa found herself living in Michigan, with Sam O’Brian, her first “boyfriend.” He supplied her with her liquor as long as she put out. One night, when she wasn’t particularly in the mood, they got into a fight, resulting in a gash on her left shoulder.
The next morning, while Sam was at work, she called her friend, Katlyn Martian. After packing her few belongings, the two headed out to California.
There, they moved in with Katlyn’s older brother Tyler, and his wife Emmy. With their help, Altessa slowly weaned herself off the booze. (secretly drinking “recreationaly”)
One night, about 6 months there, Katlyn was arrested for pot possession. Not feeling comfortable with just Tyler and Emmy, Altessa drove to West Virginia, to stay with the her one cousin (who could stand her) on her dad’s side of the family. (Mellany Heartman)
There she re-enrolled in school and attempted to live a “normal” life. (She started on her vine and flower tattoo, two days after moving in. Mellany paid for it, understanding her hatred for the scar) The “normalcy” lasted a whole two weeks. She fell in with the “wrong crowd” and within the month, she was back on the streets.
This time around, Altessa didn’t have the money to support her habit, so she began selling herself.
(Age 17) One night, Mellany found her and took her back home. As a former addict, herself, she knew what it was like, and taught Altessa the finer points of the art form known as dealing.
Later that year, Altessa received a letter in the mail, from the Xavier Academy For Gifted Youngsters, saying that they had the facilities, and equipment necessary to help her, both with her gift and her problem. Desperate the get clean, and after weeks of researching, she convinced Mellany to let her go. (Had she of not received permission, Mellany would have reported her as a run-away)
The next Tuesday, Altessa was off, on her first plane, to New York. After getting lost several times, in the airport, she finally found her way out, and onto the streets. The desire to find her precious drug was almost overwhelming, but something…. tugged her in the direction of a taxi, and to the academy.

Personal Inventory Currently, a big, roller, Hello Kitty suit case, filled with her clothes, and shoes, and her (ARIA) bass in a (FENDER) case (over the shoulder style)
Fashion: . In a word- unique. Her style ranges from risqué, skimpy raver clothes, to skinny jeans and cut up t-shirts, to long, flowey silk dresses (In her daydreams. She’s never had an occasion for such a dress)
Uniform: Sleeveless black, leather zipup turtle neck croptop (god that sounds terrible). Leather short-shorts. White belt that goes through only one belt loop, and hangs over her hip. On her arms and legs she has adamantium plates that stop at her knees, wrists, elbows, ankles, and finger joints. They're secured by leather strips every few inches. Her boots are knee high, and steel toe'd. She wears a modified, metal gas-mask- partially to help her breathe, and adsorb oxygen better (remember, she is a smoker) and partially to hide her face-but the modifications A-enable her to speak clearly with it on and B- make it look cool. And also she wears goggles- usually on the top of her head... just because they look cool.
Jewelry Worn : Anything and everything. Always a nose stud or ring (usually a glittery, gem, but occasionally glow in the dark, or a silver ring) Her ears are pierced up and down (9 on the left and 8 on the right) Her first lobe piercings are stretched to 00G. She usually wears either a pair of pink tiger print plugs, silver plugs with broken hearts, or blue and white acrylic, glow florescent plugs. In the rest of her holes, she wears studs that match the plugs. (Blue with blue, pink and/or black with the tiger striped, or silver and/or crystal with the silver plugs) She usually wears at least two necklaces. One of which being an elastic cord, with beads spelling out “K.M.” (for her best friend Katlyn Martian. She has one that reads “A.H.”) The other, which she sometimes takes off is a peace sign, covered in fake gems (of the pretending to be cz’s variety) On her right arm, Altessa frequently wears lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of kandi, usually going up to her elbow. Usually, she just wears jelly bracelets, going halfway down her forearm. On the right arm, she just wears a big Blink-182 rubber bracelet, so she doesn’t cover up her tattoo. On her fingers, she usually wears a ring on each finger, all of which are shiny, neon, or sleek, polished, silver.

Dislikes: the helpless feeling, of being addicted, the lack of mental clairity that comes with being high, her father, and step mother, her mother (but that’s just temporary anger)

Skills: Altessa can draw like no body business…. But then….part of it comes from her powers, crocheting, lack of self conciseness (think Pietro without the ego, able to fight off attackers, quickly (think sprinter. Lots of energy at once, but quickly gets tired)
Inabilities: Can’t knit to save her life. Also can’t spell.

Hobbies: Shopping, crocheting, dancing (NOT at clubs, unless she has an accountability buddy), singing (even though she’s not very good) and as of recently, she’s been attempting to learn how to play bass

Powers and Personal Weaknesses
Powers: When Altessa touched certain items, she has a vision of an emotionally charged moment, attached to the item. However these visions are just scrambled information in her head; Disconnected words, or fractions of words, still pictures, that jump into moments ahead. The only way for her to make sense of any of it, is to draw it out. Somehow, her subconscious is able to convert everything into one still image, with the occasional caption or two.
Weaknesses: Unless she is able to draw out the vision within a short time, she looses it all, unless the touches the object again. Some emotions attached to objects are too strong for her to handle, and she blacks out when she touches these things. She has LIMITED control of her powers, but with practice, it grows. ALSO- her powers don’t work when she’s under the influence. (She’s concluded that it’s a part of her subconscious blocked off by the chemicals) (But remember, she’s 18, and didn’t attend most of high school)
