I just had a thought (i know they're rare :p) - I wondered, do i actually have a style? Or is it just generic anime or whatever?
I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on this. Sometimes I insist that I do, but then to an outsider it's probably very samey. I think I develop more of a 'style' as I go on and study anatomy and all that jazz more, and as i nudge towards more realism through drawing form references often and start deciding what I like....but still i'm not so sure.

what is your style like? Do you think you have one?

When I first got into anime I drew in that style a lot but gradually I tried to get out of it. I think there is still some influence of it in my work when I see other pieces done by people. Although I'm not sure if my style was any special name.

My art professor has commented that I'm starting to lean more to the realistic side though. My next two painting projects will be figure painting (I'm excited because the guy who's modeling has dreadlocks....but no he's not going to be naked....you were wondering about that....I'm certian of it....O_o) Then our final painting project my professor was liking my masqurade idea so I've been watching the ballroom seens from Labyrinth and Phantom of the Opera....and now that I think of it I'll have to find the party scene in Van Helsing.

As for your gals' style......I love them.

DT- There's just something about your work that I'm drawn to and like.....I can't put my finger on it though. If I had to venture and make a guess I would say that it was the bit of realism in the characters.

Zizzy- Your cartoon style I absolutely adore and love the humor.

You gals have no idea how excited I get when I see you've posted something new. whee sweatdrop xd
