Welcome to the Character Cafe! Set in the middle of nowhere, the place where all worlds collide, this cafe is where some of our characters have been mysteriously transported to.
Use this cafe to 'roleplay' with one or more of your characters, use it when you have writer's block, or if you want to learn more about one of your characters! ^^

Here, I'll start it off......

(I'm roleplaying as Naomh the Wild from my newest NaNo >.>)

Naomh the Wild was the Queene to the barbarians, had fought,, killed, pillaged, and destroyed. Yet, none of her experience in Celterica could truly prepare her for when she suddenly appeared in the center of a strangely shaped and smelling room. They had, she remembered, just destroyed a strong tribe enemy to the north, and she'd been heading to a celebration with her tribes. And now she was here. Growling in barbarian, she looked around warily.

Taln had been traveling with his dragon companion Fortuna to Talcren when a seastorm hit. He remembered clinging to her scaly neck, as she fought through the tempest. Then, lightning flashed, and must had struck her, because he recalled falling through the sky. Why he wasn't dead or in the middle of the ocean, not to mention where Fortuna was, the golden-haired teen wasn't sure.

Looking around the unfamiliar scenery, he sniffed the odd smelling air. It reminded him of the wealthy places back home. Spying a strangely dressed girl, he approached her.

"Hello."

Naomh looked at the male in surprise. "Many days full of blood and glory, brother." She answered, straightening and pounding her chest with her fist one time. Dragging her hair farther into the fur cap she wore, her eyes narrowed. "I am Chieftain Naomh the Wild. Who do you go by?"

((Entering as Matthias, my MC. xD))

Matthias sat in the farthest corner of the cafe, nursing a cup of tea and wearing what he hoped was a non-threatening (if not slightly baffled) expression on his face.

Rescue me, Captain, he thought to himself, spying the barbarian on the other side of the room.

(Yeah..I'll try anyway...This is Ha-Noi, slighty moody sorcerer who really needs to tell me where he's located, really. It'd be nice.)

Put simply, this place was odd. Whatever 'it' happened to be. Ha-Noi was fairly sure he was no longer anywhere recognizable, which was not a good prognosis. With a bunch of strangers around and one guy with a very odd look on his face. He eyed the door contemplatively.

Ninga would've gotten us out of here faster than we got here...and I got stuck with him.

Grinning, Naomh stepped over to the orange haired, weak looking man. Slamming her chest once with her fist. She said firmly: "I am Chieftan Naomh The Wild. Who are you?" He was cute, she decided. In strange, non tribe way.

Matthias shot upright at Naomh's approach, sloshing tea onto the table. He weakly returned the chest-slamming gesture, after a moment's hesitance while deciding which hand to use.

"I'm, erm, Matthias Beringer!" For once, his voice didn't crack. Relief.

Really, Captain. Save me!

(I shall be playing Walter Lindermann, a psychotic war general who's quite tall. Emotionless, really.)

Uninteresting fools... Walter's eyes flickered to the table and then back at the Chefitian, along with the shy boy who seemed to stutter at everything.

He looked down at his drink, looking at his quite unpleasant reflection and leaned his elbow on the table. The noise was beginning to make a pounding sensation reoccur at the side of his head.

And quite frankly, he decided, I don't like it.

Her eyes narrowed. "Beringer? Sounds much like the strange names those Fae" She spat the name out like acid. "Use." Turning her head to the side, she asked in a fake kind voice: "You are not Fae, are you? You better not, or I'll -"
She paused, shook her head, and looked confused for a moment. Sitting in the seat beside Matthias, Naomh tapped both of her temples twice before relaxing. "You cannot be Fae." She observed tiredly.

"Ah, no!" Matthias replied quickly. "I mean, not as far as I know. I haven't ever grown wings or anything."

Matthias noticed the scary-looking man at another table and resumed trying not to make eye contact with anyone.

"Any idea where we are?" he asked Naomh.

"No." She answered irritably. "All I know is that I'll going to slaughter the person that brought me here instead of letting to go the y people's victory feast." She muttered under her breath for a moment, then looked up at Matthias again. "Being a Fae doesn't mean having wings. That damned Queene-" She sneered at the word Queene "- Who rules them removes the wings of anyone who insults her."

Watching the other occupants a moment, Taln approached the counter and stared at the menu. There were so many choices...and was that tea? Available for everyone? It seemed so, the item was quite reasonably priced. How strange.

Getting something called Earl Grey, the blonde sat at a table, not noticing there was someone sitting there already.

Matthias winced at the thought of his imaginary wings being plucked off. Being human was suddenly that much more appealing.

"Strange place," he said, avoiding the subject. "One moment I was falling down the stairs, the next moment I'm face-down on the floor here. But they have tea," he added, looking pleased.

"Falling down stairs?" She laughed. "You're much to clumsy to be a Faerie." She sighed. "Tea. Blegh. I cannot understand why people drink such a thing unless they're injured."

(Anyone mind if I bring in The Story Teller? I wanna learn more about her for a special twist to my novel...)

Matthias laughed nervously, a little embarrassed, but relieved that he had cemented his status as non-Fae.

"Where I come from, we drink tea all the time whether we're injured or not. See that blonde guy over there, he's got good taste..." he tilted his head. "Maybe you've had the wrong kind of tea."

Discussing tea with barbarians wasn't exactly how he'd planned to spend his day.

((Well Catherine, it's your thread. xD))
