Hope this isn't misplace but I thought it might perk up some discussion.
How would Ian's family ( Louie and Edmund seems almost a father figure to Ian, Rufus is a given) react to the news of Liam and Ian in a serious relationship?

Hmm, I've never thought about this before, but it seems rather interesting!
I think Louie would be like "WHY HIM?" and Edmund would just shake his head and be like "If it makes you happy, Ian, though I also wonder why you chose him, of all people..."
And we all know Liam has no family(baw), so there is no awkward "Mom, Dad, I'm gay, and this is my boyfriend."
But if he did, I can see Liam saying that and then adding "Don't worry though, I'm totally the man in the relationship." while Ian just waved at Liam's parents and squeaked out a really embarrassed "Hello..."
LOL omg I amuse myself. Is that bad?

In my mind I can see this happening.
Louie walks in on them getting all hot n' heavy and just stares in disbelieving shock. When he does come around he lunges at Laim, fully intending to rip out his throat with either his fangs or hands. It HIS brother and it is Liam that trying to take off his 'innocent' brother's pants.
Edmund already knows, just because he's Edmund.
And Rufus... Rufus will be jealous. It is his Ian after all that Liam is taking. Though he will support Ian because he loves him a lot, I can see him trying to "innocently" harm or get between them just to irritate Liam.

For some reason, I almost think that Edmund and Louie might take Liam's player reputation as a bad sign and threaten him once Ian's out of the room, perhaps due to a deversion Rufus set up to draw him out there....

You mean Bildeau, Bleudeau, and Ribateau?
Bildeau seems to be friendly, so I suppose he would like Ian.
Bleudeau loves everyone so yeah, I think he would like Ian.
Ribateau on the other hand, he doesn't seem to like humans at all, so I'm guessing no, he wouldn't like Ian. xD
