So my brother in law is 18 and is now dating a 16 yr old with a daughter. Normally I have no issue if the girl is a good mother but she sleeps around so much she doesn't even know who the father is. Oh well I guess..Am I being mean? Should I give her more of a shot then that?

I don't think you are being mean. If she doesn't know who the father is, that is going to reflect negatively on her. I think being a mom makes us more critical of people. Not only will she be your brother-in-laws girlfriend but possibly part of your family and that puts her in contact with your child.
I don't know what it is like to be a teen mother since I waited to have Alex until I was older but I imagine it is very difficult to be in high school and have a baby. I would imagine that trying to be a good mother, a good student and a good girlfriend is nearly impossible.
Is she a good mother besides that? Is baby #1 before anyone and anything else or is she dumping the kid off with someone else so she can go out with friends?
