Hi! i'm new here but I hope it's alright I post this!

Today it was announced that FF13's U.S and UK release date will be March 3rd of 2010 biggrin I'm so excited for this not because it's going to be on the 360 along with the ps3 but it's the day after my birthday! I mean what better gift is getting a highly anticipated new FF game for your birthday biggrin

*celebrates*

Awesome news! Hopefully I'll have extra money saved up for a PS3 by then.

Okay question, FFXIII is coming out...but isn't that just part of a whole series of games supposed to be coming out too? Guess I can look it up but hey...if anyone knows offhand that would be cool ^^

I think the other spin-offs are still heavily being developed and don't have set release dates yet. This is based on what I know from a couple news sites, which have been reporting on FFXIII proper like mad (Japanese media blitz seems to have begun in earnest, for instance) but keep mentioning that there isn't much word on Versus or Agito lately. I think they're all going to be released at different times.

I think it benefits them to stagger the releases. 3nodding It seems like more people would be able to buy them ASAP that way.

I'm extremely excited about the soundtrack, maybe more than I am about playing the game itself. The bits I've heard in the trailers-- not the pop song, but the actual score-- sound amazing and I already like the composer a lot from other stuff he's done.

Also totally jazzed that we have another female main, one who actually has a sibling who's relevant to the story. Family interaction in JRPGs rules and has a way of humanizing a character in a really powerful way (see Tidus, Ashley Riot, Edgar/Sabin, lots of others).

I should probably stop hyping this game up for myself though. xD
