Therefor, they have taken all smoking-related products from the shops and will possibly lock any smoking products in marketplace.

Meaning? You can't get the tiny little cig unless you pay a larger load for it in marketplace. :
Oh, but they allow you to sell it in shops for a slighter high price just so you don't have it.

My dad is a smoker and at this stage in my life, 2 attitudes come to mind about my dad: Where would we get the extra money considering the worst circumstances, and Once I'm out of the house I'm not coming back.

anyhow. He has smoked around me since i have been young. at this point it would be better to smoke and have that filter but i refuse to smoke because of my dad.

In response to this surprise attack while i was at work: I believe that possibly, Gaia should use IMVU's Adult Pass. I would prefer the pass be available in gold, even if it was high-lace-sciously (can say it, can't type it. Can't type it impaired either XD, Spell Checker don't accept it) expensive. but if i had to go waste money on it to have adult privileges then it would be worth it for I am an adult and want to be treated as such.

This "adult Pass" would include adult themed items. I.E. stripper poles, other items conveniently found in a novelty shop with 3 X's in the title. or things like Cig's and alcohol like actual alcohol items, Beer Kegs, Bars, Beer Bottles, Etc.

Gaia has this problem. They say they are a "Kiddie site" But they strive to be an adult site. Eventually someone's going to have to say, well we need to better improve birthdays and age verifications and seperate the site between kids and adults. I personally say that kiddies 16+ should be eligible but would be satisfied with 18+ as the split.

This "split" wouldn't be, you can't talk with anyone under the split, you can't roam zOMG and only run into your age group. just Profiles, Info, Avatars, Items, and etc would split. Adults would have more "graphic", "adult", "parental guidance required", "kinky?" XD which is a funny word, back to topic. Items, Profiles, Avatars, Info and what not.

Kids would not be allowed these items, Kids may or may not be able to see these items? i.e. filters. Soo like, Adult Avatar is running around with anatomically correct nude avatar, Kiddie with restrictions shall see a clothed avatar/Black bar's/nothing/blurred-ness of the adult avatar. thus they will not see that kind of "impressionable" stuffs.

This would unsoulbind tobacco. and those who need/want/desire/demand those items shall be able to freely and consensually buy em.

I don't mind smokers, if you gotta light up, light up. But please respect those around you. That's probably the main reason smoker's get so much s**t is because of the lack of respect to other's choices in clean air. like disobeying the 10 ft no smoking infront of entrance orders and so on. not gonna rant on that but it would be nice for smokers to be kind to those who choose not. in the end, who is it really hurting if you disobey these non smokers who see you smoking in places they don't want you to or smoking in places which annoy people? It hurts the smokers. it hurts in their pocket books, restraints and orders and fave buildings to smoke at. Yes I agree it's not fair but it's what happens. /end

Adult themed items are a choice and you should choose responsibility. Those cigs were never popular anyhow? i mean honestly, who the hell was wearing them before this ban? XD. They were like what. 50-500 gold. I graduated from a richer high school and pretty much everyone there drank and a lot of them smoked pot, my mom tells of her high school and where they smoked pot in the restrooms. apparently my highschool has had a huge problem with heroin. and heroin o/d's you kinda can't fight it. And if i have to deal with all this high school b.s. i sure as hell want my drugs and drug dogs included XDD lol

They get all holier-than-thou about a pixelated cig, but yet they have smoke-related sponsors on their free Gaia Cash crap.

Now, this ban may be temporary, due to the upcoming Smoke Out... but I doubt it.

How about their promotion of childhood obesity, tooth decay, diabetes, etc by having Skittles as a sponsor? Hmm, Gaia??

What's next? Are they going to take away / ban alcohol related items?... the stripper pole?... anything that can be used as a weapon?? O.o Is the Carol of ol' Ebenezer on the chopping block? Note it's current cost in the MP.

I agree about items being purchased / traded according to age (18 or 21+) but I don't see Gaia going through those motions to be accommodating.

Its so fake to have these changes...yeah yeah, I can't have my virtual ATF (actually, right now its just the T part, and I personally don't think they'll pull out F anytime soon - more on that later). But looky, Gaia wants you to spend your REAL money on useless junk, and give your REAL personal details for GC (which is fake) - any coincidence the Fish shop fire sale is now on?

As for weapons, they'll probably not pull them out - weapons are popular, and they actually make money. Plus, WoW has weapons (for those who don't get it - I personally think Craig's got a WoW imitating obsession).

In case they DO pull weapons out, I am SO ready (note my many swords, and I've got some more pointy, bangy and bludgeon-y things in my inventory).

Second, yes, Gaia has spent years with different items promoting different sites and symbolism.
Sex, drugs, alcohol, weapons, ect...

Not only that, they made items that supported a site WHICH supports all these things. D<
There are plenty of items that do this, such as the epic fail hat and the long cat item.

My point is this, why try to even censor anything?
