i guess this is kind of a fun/game thing: tell a little story about something odd (that's autism related) that happened to you.
like for me i got a backpack with the rainbow puzzle pieces that i got from my trip to the neurological tests, a girl next to me goes 'cool backpack where'd you get it?' and i told her 'from my testing trip'
'you going to be a scientist or something?'
'no. i have autism'
'what's that?'
'neurological spectrum'
'ooooh! but you don't look like you have it'
from there i was just like stare

I was with my Autistic friends, they're so much fun to hang out with. My friend once acted like a ninja, and was yelling at the campus saying "having fun?" and "There you are!", imitating some ninjas from the game "Tenchu" xD
And he made a mask for it too xDD

Taking everything literally is fairly normal for me-though it's not as bad as adult-and one afternoon my grandmother said to me, "You are so darling I could eat you up!"
I told her I would prefer not to be cannibalized. Since I was only four at the time, my grandmother and mother began speaking at me rapidly while demanding to know where I had heard such a "horrible word".

Funny! I have a rainbow puzzle backpack too! Is your's a Dickie's backpack? ^^
For me, people have just said that it was cool. I guess they just figure that since I'm a Music Therapy major that I just really support Autism. Which I do! I have a puzzle lanyard too!
But yeah, I actually have a story like this too! An upper class man from my university asked me why I wasn't ever making eye contact. I told him i have Aspergers and that it was part of the Autistic Spectrum. Turns out he's one of my closet friends up at school now! I mean, he just said 'Oh, okay!' and said nothing more about it. ^^
