Looking outside everything was covered in, what I think it is, Mother Nature's tears. I couldn't even see our Blue Sky Ranch sign. It was pouring.

“Blue, quit looking outside and get over here to bed! You cannot go outside in this storm!” Ellen rants, but I block it out. Ellen has tried to boss me around since we were kids. Since my parents have died I have lived here, she acts as a mother. I will always appreciate it, but she doesn’t have to do that.

“Ellen, calm down I’m 18 now I can make my own decisions!” I pull my cap over my eyes. She is so persistent! Im Respons- wait a second! Crap, I forgot to let the animals in! My thoughts started to blur as I ran or the door. Ellen pulled me back before I could reach the handle.

“Are You crazy? It’s pouring rain outside. You will get blown away! Why are you going out anyway?” Her face became worried. I winced.

“I forgot to bring the animals in!” I turned away.

“YOU WHAT?! Blue, They could die!” She looked out the window. “We can’t do anything now….we will have to see if they are okay in the morning.” She then ran to her bedroom. I sat there in fear. What if they die. It’s all my fault…. A tear ran down my cheek. I went to bed, still knowing I would not get any sleep tonight.

When the sun finally came up I ran outside. They were no where to be found…. There was one place but it didn’t seem logical they could be there without someone bring them in. So I ran in. I was shocked to what I found though. All the animals were in there, All Four cows, our two sheep and the two horses. I sighed, I was relieved! I looked to the side and saw our cows all together with there backs turned. They were watching something from what it seems…. “Im sorry guys,” I patted each one on the back. “I will never
leave you guys lik-" then I saw what they were staring at.
