Anybody ever read the books?
How do they compare to the games?
Should I read them?

I've read a few dozen of them and they're good (I like both the old and new series, but they have their differences) but they get predictable if you read too many. Compared to the games... they're not quite as in-depth, they have more characters, and of course you don't really need to think hard to solve them because the mystery unfolds as you read lol. If you haven't read any you should try one of the older books and one of the newer books. There are around 200 so there are definitely plenty to choose from.

My mom has the old set of books from the 60's I think. I have never read any of the books. I tried but could never get into them. I love the games tho.
