Galius Azarola walked into the common room and set his stuff down next to a fluffy chair where he then sat. He ran his fingers through his red hair and stared into the crackling fire with very slight interest. He was waiting for the fun to start but it seemed like Hogwarts was just now waking up from a very long hibernation.

Jessica Hallows wandered down from the Girl's Dorms, looking to curl up by the fireplace with a new book she borrowed from the library. Her last one was far too short, at 467 pages, causing her to finish it in a mere 3 and a half hours. Stopping at the bottom of the stairs, she casually noted that her usual spot was currently occupied, and instead opted for the couch. Plopping herself down on the cushion farthest from him, she let her legs take up the remaining room as she got comfortable. Satisfied, she flipped open to page one.

Gale looked up, surprised to see another ravenclaw in the very quiet tower, "Hi." he relaxed slightly into his chair and kicked his feet up on the foot stool, "I'm Gale."

She already knew who this boy was, having memorized the names and faces of all the students in her house, but none the less decided to tease him. "Hello Gale No-Last-Name." Looking up from her book, she resolved to give him a small smile. "I'm Jessica. Jessica Hallows."

Fae walked in pink in the face from running in the nippy air just to hear the exchange of names and hoped the girl wouldn't tease her for not saying her last name, she didn't like it, it wasn't a very nice translation.

Gale rolled his eyes at the girl, "It's Azarola, it means 'like a fox' in Egyptian." He chuckled lightly and raised an eyebrow at her, "You have the look on your face that says I stole your chair, am I right?"

"Hit the nail on the head. Perhaps I should write my name on there next time so that I at least can put up a decent argument." She shrugged and closed her book. "For now though, it's yours. You beat me to it fair and square. Just don't expect to make a habit of winning it," she responded with a small twinkle in her eye.

Gale just smirked and bent down to rummage around in his pack until he found the book he was currently working on, "Oh, I plan on making it a habit of winning this chair. I have claimed it as mine now." he chuckled.

Raising her eyebrow, she leaned just a little bit closer to him. "You think thats wise, boy? Crossing wands with one of the most clever Ravenclaws to ever walk these halls?" That spot had been 'hers' since the day she arrived. NOTHING was gonna come between her and her chair.

Gale just laughed, "Wise or not, half of my family has been Slytherins, I just tend to do what I want." he smirked, ran his fingers through his mess of red hair, "With a temper like that, are you sure you shouldn't be a gryffindork?"

Leaning back against the arm of the couch, Jessica rolled her eyes at his suggestion. "Oh please, don't insult me. I'd rather be called a mudblood than be associated with those pathetic brutes."

Gale just smiled and shook his head, "You're too easy to irritate." he winked at her before he buried his nose into his book, "By the way, Kasen said to tell you 'hello' and that he 'wants to speak with you'."

'Now I can see why half his family's Slytherin. I feel like I'm speaking parceltounge to a snake.' At the last half of his words, she tilted her head to the side in curiosity. "Did he tell you what for?" She always enjoyed seeing her favorite teacher, but rarely did he call upon her.
