Name: Uldin M'Rothnir
Alias: The Forsaken Prince
Power(s): Ability to manipulate the dead, some weather, control over fire, electricity, and frost. Resistant to poison, and does not share the needs that the living do.
Physical Mutation(s): Body is very rotted.
Age: 457
Personality: Very sad, yet wishes to speak as often as he can. Uldin loves to tell stories of his past, and the past of others. Uldin will drink whatever when he can, to 'wet his lips." He finds the living to be fascinating, and will be in their pressence so long as they tolerate him. Uldin does care about how he appears to others, masking his scent with flowers, very contrary to his life task. Sir M'Rothnir constantly tells stories of philosophy, and adventure, and will not talk of romance. He points it absolutely pointless, having never been interested in either sex or any human in a romantic way. Personally he is asexual, but will not talk about it. Uldin will not talk about religions, for he finds it to be a touchy subject to humans, and even though he has such obsurd abilities, he is atheistic. He takes an agnostic view of it, and simply wishes not to speak of it to those he doesn't trust. (Even for a Necromancer, it is not safe to let everyone know that he has such beliefs.) Uldin will constantly drink an elixer he makes out of the dead, it is believed that it is what keeps him alive as the dead, yet as of now it is unknown.
Background History: A powerful Necromancer, who has lived for hundreds of years. He was once but a simple scholar, and writer. Day in and out he would read whatever he could find, and use it to influence his works of literature. Growing tired of writing, he decided he needed to find more in life. He began to learn of magic from books he could find, and grew into a decent mage. Uldin thought his power was well enough, but had no way to prove it. The young mage chose a cave, which was rumored to house a monster, for some exploring. After finding the monster he was surprised to find the being intelligent. It understood its existence was wretched, and longed for death but could not kill itself. It was cursed, which meant Uldin had to end its life. Upon death, the curse was placed upon him, he could not kill himself. Uldin thought it was simple, for he would have no reason to die. Years went, and he grew into a wise magic user. Eventually being tasked with killing a Lord who was thought to be doing foul acts. Upon confronting the man, Sir M'Rothnir was wounded, and bound to the Lord, making him an understudy. Realizing the man's potential, Lord Borth revealed he was a powerful Necromancer, and would begin to teach Uldin his acts. After ten long years, Uldin was becoming a very advanced Necromancer, when his Lord was slain, freeing his will. Now know what he was, with nothing holding his will, Uldin saw his only act of good to be death. Yet, he could never intentionally kill himself, thus the curse finally effecting him. Uldin instead decided to find a way to make control of the dead a more useful power, collecting books again to better understand his powers, and what he should think of his new life. Hundreds of years have passed, and his long gray beard now sits upon his chest, in his mind though he is still the young mage. This Necromancer seeks to enjoy his life now, and readanything he can which is interesting. Uldin sometimes takes the bodies of the dead to make followers and guards, squires, etc. Whatever he feels the need to have at the moment. His acts are seen as ghastly, yet, he keeps the dead away from those that can use the bodies for evil purposes.
Uldin currently is a very skinny, deeply aged man. His eyes are green, and very sad looking. Wrinkles cover his body where skin stays. Both his hands are skeletal now. His robes are purples, and very layerd, covering most of his body, except his hands and face. Large boots made of human leather are wrapped around his feet. Uldin wears amulets on his hands, with a large purple crystalupon them. Gloves lay just underneath the amulets to protect his hands from their dark magical energies. Upon his head sits the skull of a lesser dragon, horns upon the sides pointed upwads. A small coif links the back of the neck of his robe to the skull, covering his head, and bottom jaw. Uldin has no bottom jaw, and has to communicate through magical means, giving him a voice that stays in the air for a bit after speaking. His beard is long, and gray, with a few hints of dark black. Sitting upon his chest, descending from his upper lip and sideburns. His teeth are rotted, yet stay, they are cracked and very dirty. Most of his skin pale, or gray. It is heavily wrinkled, and missing on parts of his body. His face has many creases, and often he has a very sorrow filled look upon his face. Uldin's robe is black, and made of an unknown creature's skin. It is very much like simple cloth, yet can resist blades, fire, electricity, and the cold.
He is capable of controlling the dead, and rising those who fall. He can make creatures out of left over body parts, or bits and pieces of other beings. Uldin can summon spirits, and has some control over weather. Sir M'Rothnir may create fire balls, or bolts of cold magic. Both are under his control, yet his fire is purple, and his cold powers are green. He is also a bit talented with poisons, being able to poison the dead he uses, and survive extremely deadly toxins as well. Uldin will often carry small potions of deadly mixes he makes with simple herbs and plants he finds. Sometimes he even uses the dead in his brew. He actually has control over dead plants also, so be careful of what you harm. Anything that is dead he may touch, though certain beings may resist his will, if they are strong enough. Uldin carries a staff, which he uses to support his body. It is made of the long bone of a dragon, and at the head is a crystal housed within a large container shaped like a horn. Hanging off the point of the horn are three very small skulls, and a small pouch. At his side he carries a book written in a strange language. Uldin often writes in it, it is believed to either be a spell book or journal of some sort. Maybe elements of both are found within the book.
Uldin currently rides a large pile of bones which roll across the ground, moving slowly, yet fast if haste is needed. It mainly consists of skulls, and a small chair made of a dark wood sits on top of the pile, a temperary throne. At his throne always sits a chalice on the left arm, made of a rusty old metal, black and green is how it is colored. It's belive that this chalice will kill anyone and put them in service to Uldin, should they drink it.
At this time he leads a small group of Necromancers to teach them of his neutral control of the dead, without the fall to darkness.
