So I am remaking my party now, now that I am figuring out EVs and such, and I figure I want an original generation pokemon, but idk what... maybe Venomoth? Poison/flying are two types I could use.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Venomoth is very good and useful. I think you should stick with that plan. Maybe you should get a Dratini too. They take an extremly long time to evolve fully but once they do, they become so powerful! Can you say ELITE FOUR PWNAGE?!*^^*
