I know the movie was extremely low budget but I found it rather interesting.
Are any of you over thinkers like myself? After watching it I just thought about it for a bit and I found the movie to be a little creepy.
I was talking with one of my college buddies about horror films and this movie came up. He said that he's actually been lost in the woods like that before, and even though you know you are miles and miles away from a town or a road, you hear voices like that.
Your thoughts?

I was young when it came out, I'd say around 8 or 9? So of course I had my mom rent it for me and I watched it over and over. I'm not sure I'd feel the same way about it now. I pretty much hate everything I watch.

I found it terrifying, but I couldn't watch the end. To me, that's real.
On the flipside. . .
I thought IT was hilarious, and don't know why people were afraid of a clown other than it being a psychopathic Tim Curry. xDDD

I was really impressed with it, considering how low budget it was and the fact that it was a university student film. I just watched it recently, and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The end and the part where she opened the satchel with the tongue, teeth, and blood bothered me more than I expected them to. Then again, I'm a huge sucker for the fake documentary angle some movies take. For some reason, I love it.
Like every horror flick, it's always better to watch it alone in the middle of the night with all of the lights out. So, I'd say try that, if you haven't seen it yet.

Well, whether or not it's good, it's still a classic.

Just finished it not 5 minutes ago. Scares the s**t outta me, ending confused for a moment until I remembered what the man had said about how a killer would stand one of his victims in a corner while he killed the other.
Then again I live in the uintah basin where paranormal sightings are more common than average.

Never liked it when I was a kid. Shaky camera shots =/= movie.
And it's fake as hell.
So I'm not bound to like it now.

Wow it's been eleven years since that movie came out? Let's see, that would have made me...twelve since it was released a few days after my birthday (my b-day July 26th, movie was released July 30th). I remember my mom rented it on VHS (wow I sound old) because she kept hearing about it from everyone at her work so I watched it with her and my grandmother in our den late at night. I remember really not being impressed or terrified of it at all which in retrospect was probably unheard of since I heard many people say they were scared when they first saw it.
Honestly, to quote Phil Anselmo, "The Blair Witch is a complete and utter rip off of Cannibal Holocaust". Which is actually true. There are some differences in the story, but other than that, Blair Witch is a carbon copy of Cannibal Holocaust. If you want a creepy/scary/disturbing/trippy horror movie, sit down and watch CH. It's rather gory considering it was made in 1980. Hopefully no one has been too desensitized from more modern horror movies, which have nothing on this movie.

my computer's fine.
I remember the hype for this thing! I was 8 or 9 when it came out and it creeped me out but fascinated me at the same time. I still haven't seen it though. I remember watching a documentery about what the movie was based on, and it freaked me out even more because i was sure for the longest time that it was real
