Witchcraft is a craft, and can be practised by those of various religions. However, there are people who identify spiritually as witches. If you're one of these, how do you define your own witchcraft as applies to it as a religion?
(I'm not sure that I'm making sense...) What I mean is, why do you choose to refer to your religion or spirituality as "witchcraft"? Why choose this name primarily?
I'm not saying you're wrong in doing so, at all; I describe one branch of my own spirituality as "witchcraft". I'm just interested in why others so identify.

I call myself a witch in a religious sense as well as in a craft sense. The name resonates with me though it does not describe it completely. I use my craft techniques (trance and meditative work as well as basic energy work) to connect to the Gods I worship. When I am blessing something I am using my religious views.
Most of my spell and magical work is not done under any religious views. It is done through philosophy. My philosophy is developing but open to suggestions and trials. Though it may be a little religious, if not spiritual.
