The Benefits of Bumping "A Win Win Deal"
"Bumping" is when you add a new post to a thread.
#1 When you "bump" a thread over a glowing tank, that pushes that thread to the front page of Aquarium Forum, where others click on it and grab booty too!
#2 You are posting your tank on someones thread (If tank is in your signature) which earns you a small amount for posting.
#3 The owner of thread & "other Bumpers" often will go thru a bump thread & grab booty from there!
#4 The more you bump, the more you get your tank posted or"out there", where others can spot it, when its glowing.
#5 And, if you have a bump thread over your tank, others will bump your tank to the front page when it's glowing to be grabbed by other players.

Not to mention I've actually gotten both invites and tank stalkers from bumping someone's glow thread that I often frequent. 3nodding
And the good Gaia karma is nothing to scoff at, either. ;D

If you BUMP a glow with a banner that's linked to a BG thread or somewhere else, that's considered ADVERTISING and is a bannable violation of Gaia rules !
I asked the Mod that sent me a warning, she said it's ok to BUMP with a banner WITHOUT link and you shouldn't use a BG thread banner.

Thank you for this information, I didn't know that! so your not allowed to advertise your own thread on someones bumpthread, huh? Interesting! Yes, bumping a glow thread and having one of my own has gained me a few invites so far. One to this guild among them.

The bumping glow thread is fantastic. Even when I'm offline, people might see my tank glowing, and just bump up the link that leads to a reply box. It's fast and convenient.
