So their making a new Fallout, finally, I was begining to wonder when the next one was comming out. The new ones supposed to be called New Vegas, and hopefully for the names sake, you know where it takes place. I haven't looked into it yet, but with all the sources that I have I think I can get some good info, be back soon with more perhaps even today.

New Reno was fairly cool in Fallout 2, gangs and casinos and drug wars and stuff... Should be good, but I haven't even managed to play 3 yet despite owning it for a long time now.

ahh, i see, well 3 has quite a few expansions. One of which extends the game after the end and gives it a sand-box feel when you finish(such as with oblivion). Other than Broken Steel(the fore-mentioned EP) there is -Mother Ship Zeta -Point Look Out -Operation: Anchorage -The Pit
These all add new weapons and items, and offer a hefty sum for everyones play styles. These all come in Game of the Year edition. As for 1 and 2 I plan on getting both of those when i find them, i love the classics.
New Vegas looks amazing, G4 had a trailer and it was showing a robot pick through skulls, then "The New Vegas" and ended showing what looked to be a Power Armor wearing faction but they wore a trench coat over their power armor(maybe a new faction or even the brother hood in a new form).

Haven't been posting here for a couple of years.
While the concept of Fallout in a Las Vegas setting is intriguing, that doesn't seem all that new to me. Fallout 2 had New Reno. But, what the hell, it doesn't hurt to try something different.
However, I'd love to see New York City in a Fallout game the most. Especially all the more intriguing since I'd bet the cityscape was pretty much ravaged after the Great War.

Im rooting for new vegas, hope its good ninja

New Reno isn't an expansion, it's a city in the game.
I've made a decent dent in Fallout 3 so far and I can see why you assumed expansion... FO3 doesn't really have any memorable cities or towns.

FO3 still kept my interest either way.
I'd rather someone make a memorandum to bid for New York City to be in a Fallout game to Bethesda. Landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Empire State Building, etc.; man, I'd love to see what had become of them after the Great War knocked on the USA's door. Titles I'd suggest would be Fallout: Fallen Liberty, Divided Liberty, Fallen Apple (okay, maybe that isn't too creative), or what-have-you. The New Vegas game probably won't keep my interest for long.

Yeah FO3 is still interesting. It's just that difference is pretty noticable.. the old ones had you going from location to location while FO3 is like a single very sparse location.

the expansions for FO3 are good too if you haven't, then you need to at least take a look into them. The expansions are like little mini-stories to where they take a good 1 to 3 hours to complete. Among the best (not counting broken steel because I Havent played it yet) are Operation: Anchorage and The Pit.
If you plan on beating FO3, the expansion(or what ever) Broken Steel adds on to it and I think gives it sort of a sand-box mode after beating it to mop up any unfinished quests. This also raises the level cap to 30 and adds new perks, the 2 favorites would be the only ones that are specificly for level 30. These two perks are Atomic Reaction(makes a nuclear explosion out of your rads when health hits 20%) and Almost Perfect(raises all S.P.E.C.I.A.L.'s to 9) althogh I chose Almost Perfect I don't know what the other one looks like when its activated.
So all in all if you've seen how big of a fanatic I am about fallout already, then you know that I'm more than a little excited for New Vegas. Im now going to retreat to my little fallout vault and beat broken steel.

It isn't called Atomic Reaction, but Nuclear Anomaly. If you choose it, whenever you're in battle and your health drops to below 20%, you generate an explosion similar to a Mini-Nuke. This perk isn't that useful if you plan on having a companion with you. Also, it has been reported that a glitch from this perk causes your character to die when the explosion occurs while playing in Normal difficulty. Therefore, it's much better taking the Almost Perfect perk.

well then, that makes alot more sense about why i keep dying on my alt. Prof. (thats what i picked and i keep dying, especial when i purposely trigger it by sitting there taking hits from all sides). hmmm i've been thinking about what i want in store for new vegas.... i think it should have better animations, the ones on games like fallout three and oblivion are pretty, well, blocky and un-natural. Although I dont know why it looks like this, and i think it has something to do with the RPG aspect of the games, i still think that when it looks more natural like in Borderlands it helps pull off the game, and facial expressions could use a little work. Other than the various animations, if anything like bloody mess is in new vegas, they should tone it down, because all the decapitation in the game was cool at first, then it just got really old, shoot a guy there (there being something like his leg or arm) and the complete opposite limb goes flailing off into the distance, and sometimes even the body explodes(although that is more appreciated in my book) all in all its basic physics and animations that i had a problem with, although i bet i'll like the game just as much if these are not improved upon.

The folks at Bethesda seem to not truly understand what good physics are all about in their games. I mean, it's not that they have a lack of knowledge about game physics, but the way they implement them just doesn't feel right. Especially when playing the PC versions of Oblivion and FO3, the mods that try to enhance the games' less-than-stellar experience have a crapload of problems concerning physics/animation.
One example: a mod that adds a new weapon in FO3 like the FN P90 or other similar weapon shows your player character's hands in an incorrect position of the gun. This is exacerbated further when you're in third-person view of your character as well as reloading the weapon. It probably has to do with how Bethesda did their way of programming these games.
Seriously, I have issues about certain games in terms of physics. I mean, it's not like I want games to be totally realistic in their features, but even games that don't take place like where it is in real life should at least make sense aesthetically.
