It is one of the major debates.

Whether or not spanking is really that damaging to a child, or whether spanking (in reasonable doses) is the only way to go.

If you do believe in spanking, what age do you deem appropriate for spanking? Is there a minimum amount of months/years that a child should be before spanking is done? Is there an age that kids are too old to be spanked?

Yes, we know that in many places spanking is illegal. That is not the debate here...well it is in a way. But what I mean, is do not yell/criticize another parent for spanking because it is illegal. You can state why or why not you think it should be illegal.

I think, that 2 is the YOUNGEST you should spank if you so choose to spank. I think that spanking passed 9 or 10 is a bit weird, and at 12 should be stopped since they are hitting puberty around then. (For me, I was 10 when puberty started).

I myself don't believe in hard spanks. But, if a child is touching something that is potentially harmful to them a tap on their hands/wrist wont kill 'em.
