I really liked the episode when Bradon finally transformed into his demon self. It was like around the fifth epissode.

I was impressed on how smart Harry was on making it to the top and how he held the top people in the palm of his hand. Don't get me wrong, I hated him for what he did to Brandon but what I mean is that the top people that were the closest to him, which are Bob Poundmax, BalladBird Lee, Bear Walken, and Bunji Kugashira, were all loyal because of how he went about acquiring them.

Fist, Bob Poundmax. Without Bob, than Harry wouldn't be as resourceful as he is. The reason why Bob is so loyal is because he was a kind of weak guy when Harry first met him but in time, Bob become more focused to what he had to do and he became that way with friends, so Harry just remained his friend.

Second, BallidBird Lee. Lee is a skilled fighter and Harry wanted him on his side so badly that he risked his life to do it. After confronting Lee, about Lee being a spy, Harry tried talking to him about staying and Lee trusted Harry because only Harry would hold back a whole fleet of armed men from shooting. So the fact that Harry did not kill him is why Lee trusts him so much. Not to mention Bob is Lee's best friend.

Third, Bear Walken. Bear was probably the hardest one to get on Harry's side but if Bear didn't have a daughter, I'm not sure if he would have been loyal to Harry. The fact that Harry has the love of Bear's daughter is the only reason why Bear trusts him, because his daughter's life is in Harry's hands. Even though it might have been just to get Bear's trust at the start, Harry did indeed fall in love with Sherry, within the years.

fourth, Bunji Kugashira. Bunji impressed Harry so he had to get him on his side. Seeing Bunji's skills, Harry noticed that he was almost as good as Brandon. So Harry knew what he would probably have to do to Brandon, so Harry needed a back-up hit-man. Bunji respected Brandon and even looked up to him. So after he was told that Brandon betrayed the Family, then Bunji just lost it. He had nothing anymore except for Harry's friendship. Bunji was always kind of skeptical about Brandon's betrayal but he couldn't do anything about it, so he just stood by Harry's side and kept close to him.

And Finally, the most difficult, Brandon Heat. Brandon was Harry's best friend but after overhearing what Brandon was talkin about with Big Daddy, then Harry knew that Brandon was extremely loyal to the Family, so Harry had to test him by telling him that he was gonna betray the Family. By seeing Brandon's reaction (when he pulled out the gun) Harry found out that Brandon was almost going to kill him but didn't. But Harry couldn't take any chances, so he shot Brandon to get him out of the picture so he wouldn't mess up his plans.

That's what I think about whenever I see Harry standing with the top 4.

Because he was afraid Brandon was going to kill him. Brandon stopped himself from doing it of course, but that didn't mean he wouldn't change his mind and Harry didn't want to take any chances. Unlike Harry, Brandon really was super loyal to Big Daddy, Big Daddy's ideals, and Maria. And Harry was afraid that Brandon would ultimately choose them over his best friend. So all conspiracy business he was into aside, Harry was just so afraid of Brandon that he decided to eliminate him from the picture.

Because Harry was an a**, seems like. XD You don't get any real backstory on what happened before Brandon became Grave, so it can be hard to follow. The only thing you really pick up on during the ONE flashback sequence, before the last level begins, is that Brandon has something for Maria. Then in the elevator scene, Brandon reacts with surprise when Harry mentions killing the boss, but he doesn't do anything until Harry says "Then you can have Maria all to yourself." Then Brandon punches him in the face. Next thing you know, Brandon's been shot and Harry is holding the gun. Harry says something about being disappointed and proceeds to shoot him a lot more, ending with the up close shot to his left eye. So, if you're going just by the game, Harry just seems to be a somewhat psychotic a*****e and he shoots Brandon just for disagreeing with him.

I don't remember Brandon ever pointing a gun at Harry in the game during that scene. I could be wrong. So in that version, I can't just say Harry was afraid of Brandon. Still, I guess he took getting punched like that for his words as a sign of betrayal and choose to eliminate the obstacle before him.

A topic that I would like to bring up is about Bear Walken. In one episode where Bear was talking to Harry, he took off his shades and looked into Harry's eyes. As soon as he took off his shades, it struck me that Bear Walken could very well be Ishbalan.

For those of you who are familiar with the anime "Fullmetal Alchemist" then you know what an Ishbalan looks like.
An Ishbalan has brown skin and red eyes, and that is a very distinctive feature. And Bear Walken has those very same features.

Was Fullmetal Alchemist aired before, or after, Gungrave? (In Japan, I mean)

It's just something I was wondering about ^^
