I'm reading this book called Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. It's based on the events of wold war 1 but put to a Science fiction genre. It's actually in a post Steam-age. The Clankers (Germany and Austria-Hungary) still use Steampunk style weapons wile the Darwinist (Britain, France and Russia) have invented a way to breed animals into weapons, modes of transportation... almost any thing.
The story is told by two teenagers on other opposite sides of the war, Alek is a Austrian-Hungarian prince who has to run after his parents are assassinated and Deryn Sharp a British girl who poses as a boy to get into the army.

I wanna read it so bad.
I saw one of my friends with it. I almost took it and ran. I didn't. I plan to read it soon though.

Btw, the sequel (Behemoth) is also super AWESOME!!!! I really reccomend the series to any real steampunk fan! biggrin
