I have not been on this thread for ages and ages but I was simply wondering if anyone could recommend any lesbian films out there? Nothing real depressing would be the preference.

My all time favorites are:
Better than Chocolate But I'm a cheerleader Fingersmith - can be confusing Tipping the Velvet - decent, made me talk funny for like 3 days XD
and one that deserves nomination since it flew under my radar, hated the first 20 mins of it, but by the end loved: April's Shower
Loving Annabell is great too! But I could never look at my teachers the same burning_eyes

Oh...I just remembered...
If you like 'Boys Don't Cry'...based off a true story... Look for 'A Girl Like Me'. Its also based off a true story and about the same sorta thing but MtF instead.
If you're the sensitive type...make sure you have tissues. Both those stories are heartbreaking.

I believe there is a new film starring Julianne Moore and Annette Bening coming out very soon about a lesbian couple's children seeking out their biological father (ie the sperm donor).
I believe it is called:The Kids are All Right It premiered at the 2010 Sundance Festival.
Don't know how I feel about though >.> It looks like a rehashing of The L Word in some respects.

I just watched DEBS recently, I never really thought to because I believed it to be slightly over rated, but I was wrong. It's one of those nice silly movies you can watch after your head is burned out from studying exams and you just want to watch two girls make out while cheap affects go in the background.
It's a good laugh, and cute story line.
