Hey guys! The main forum for the zOMG Insanity Guild will be used for setting up guild activities and events. Here's a basic guide for how it works (I know its a lot, but please read)

Activities are just for fun. They're mostly social events, where we'll gather and do weird things while hanging out with other users. We might have everyone wear cow costumes and stampede through Bill's Ranch, or play a server-wide game of hide and seek. Don't worry, we know that not everyone is a high CL, so activities will be oriented for everyone to enjoy!

Events will be more gaming-based activities, usually involving crews competing in various tasks. Some may be simple or straightforward, such as which crew can complete a quest the fastest. Others may be more complicated or involve unique rules: Who can survive the longest in a high-level area with only the Turtle and Fleet Feet rings?

Contests are events with gold or item prizes, so be sure to check those out! There will be competitions of various difficulties, so everyone gets a chance to compete!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have ideas for activities or events, please post in the "Activity ideas" thread. While avatar or ring-based activities are encouraged, please keep in mind that not everyone has the gold or rings. While it would be fun to have 40 kitten stars running around Barton town, I'm pretty sure not everyone could afford that. Be a bit lenient! If we like your idea, it may become a guild-hosted activity.

Guild-hosted activities will be posted as announcements. However, if you want to host your own activity, please do! We encourage people to get creative and branch out on their own. Everyone has something to offer! (and I can't run all the activities on my own icon_gonk.gif )

If you decide to host an activity on your own, be sure to make a new thread with a title something like "Event hosting" or "Activity hosting". If there are going to be prizes, make sure the title is something like "Contest hosting". Please be as specific as possible with the date, time, and server, so everyone knows where to go. Its also suggested you add people as friends so they can find you easily, but its not required. If myself or another guild mod disproves of the activity, it will be canceled. Usually activities will only be canceled if we fear serious offense may occur.

If you're going to post a reply to someone's activity idea, please keep the rules in mind: use constructive criticism, and absolutely NO flaming. Everyone has something to offer and every idea can be valuable. What isn't valuable is putting someone down just because you don't like their idea.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

You don't have to participate in every event or activity. If you see one that sparks your interest, feel free to get involved, but nobody is forcing you to do every single thing you see on here! If dressing up as ninjas and hiding in the trees around Bass'ken Lake bores you, don't force yourself to come! But if tackling Papa Saw using only the Bump ring seems fun, go for it!

I understand that with server and layer issues, it will be very difficult for everyone to meet up in the same area. I'll try my best on this end to get us all together, but if its not possible, don't get discouraged! Invite all your friends, form your own insanity group, and have fun!
