Oh what an interesting topic!
I can't say I really know tons about other countries so I am curious.
I grew up in Germany but moved to the US at like age 10-11. So I didn't pay much attention to anyones sexuality except my own back then.
Though after all the wars and the Wall coming down in '89, I was in Stuttgart Germany at the time, Germans were more liberated about everthing...sexuality included.
