Okay Gaia have seriously pissed me off this time, this time with an EI and a blatant disregard for the Norse culture and for those Gaians that call themselves heathens (myself included). I like how the reserached for Inari's beads and they did really well on that but they seem to have skimmed over it for the Compass of Seidh. Sorry The most recent evolution is the one that has pissed me off the most because it makes a mockery of the deity I follow, and I find that very very offensive indeed, and mind you it does take a lot to offend me.
Okay here is my list of grumbles about the poses so far. I will add more grumbes as the item continues to evolve if I feel the need to.
Major Grumbles:
Munnin - Munnin is one of Odin's ravens, and his name means memory. So why the hell have they made him white?! It does not state anywhere in the sagas or eddas that Munnin is white!
Horn of Heimdall - Heimdall is an Aesir and does not posses horns upon his head. Heimdall's horn IS Gjallarhorn, which he will blow at Ragnarok to warn the gods of the approach of the Joutun armies.
Loki (all related items) - LOKI HAS BLONDE HAIR!!!! It is mentioned in eddas on several occasions, so WTF have they given the Norse Trickster god PURPLE-BLACK hair. Gaia you effing fail on research! Loki also DOES NOT POSSES HORNS EITHER!
Minor Grumbles:
Bitfrost - Was this an accidental spelling error or not. If it is an error and they mean to put Bifrost. Bifrost is the rainbow bridge that connected the world of men (Midgard) to the world of the gods (Asgard)
Hrotti - Hrotti is a famous sword weilded by Sigurd to slay the dragon Fafnir... where on earth did they get the outfit idea from?

Hm, being from Scandinavia, I do see where you are coming from, though I do not feel insulted.
Cultures and religions can be used freely imho, as long as it's not too far from the truth. Just look at the cartoon Valhalla, where Loki is depicted with black hair. No one complained about that, since it's a cartoon based on norse mythology, and not showing the original stories.
If it really bugs you that much, try and get some backup, and write Gaia a mail with your thoughts.

Ranchi Just look at the cartoon Valhalla, where Loki is depicted with black hair. equally you have Brat-Halla which does is only loosely based on the Eddas, and then you have the graphic novel The Gods of Asgard where Loki is depicted with blonde hair. Good idea with the mail, but why would Gaia listen to one pissed off heathen? or even a small handful of pissed off heathens?

Not to mention that this thing has evolved how many times in a row? -.- It's going to end up finishing before Case of Pietro, which has been around forever ><

Horn of Heimdall: metaphor
Loki: He's a shapshifting god. 'Nough said.
Bifrost: so they spelt it differently. Bilfrost is also an alternative spelling or what have you.
Hrotti: Depictions otherwise. . .?

When you get cultural references right (or at least act like you care), people like it. When you don't, you look stupid. Worse is, you do it once, then fail to do it again (as is happening here). While I for one don't expect 100% accuracy (since Inari was mentioned, look at Okami (PS2 game) for an example of EXCELLENT cultural reference), the fact that Gaia did it once but failed now gives a general impression of wishy-washiness or couldn't-care-lessness. Pure unlucky coincidence that the victim this time round might be a smaller user base. Best suggestion I can give, try a thread in SF. If that works, maybe some form of petition/direct mail could be carried forward.
EDIT: like AV said above, this is one minefield that you don't want to step on. Some people (myself included) will support your view purely for the sake of cultural fidelity/fairness. That said, some others might not be so enlightened.

Speaking of Okami again, I love that game to bits. Love it on PS2 hate how it handles on the Wii...then again I just hate the Wii console. I don't expect 100% accuracy but things that are made points of (Loki's hair colour and race) in more than one text I would hope they would pay attention to. I did consider the idea of a petiton but there just aren't enough heathens on gaia to make a big enough noise about it, and as AV and you have said, it's a minefield you don't want to stumble into. To be honest I've just gone back to grumbling in the corner because the vast majority just don't care what the background to the item is, they just care that it looks pretty

Loki is shapeshifter agreed, but do you realise how pissing it off it is to a follower of Loki to see your deity painted falsely? The point I am making is that is pissing off the people that follow the Norse Gods because Gaia have not stayed true to the culture and stories of the Norse peoples.

How old is it now, i've lost track how many months that's been around now

That was some bomb they stepped on. Putting myself in your shoes I'd be just as ticked. With most things they should at least do research.
