I've never tried to learn a language on my own before so, I am pleading for any form of help anyone here could offer me. I have no idea where to start... sweatdrop

Most of the time you should start with the basics: greetings, how are you, my name is, i live in... etc.
After that you could do basic subjects such as numbers, colours, family members, food, animals, etc.
I think this would be a good time to start with verbs. Start with the "Aimsir Caite", which is the past tense. It is the easiest and most useful. Then move on to the "Aimsir Láithreach" (present tense) and finally move on to the "Aimsir Fháistineach" (future tense). Another thing to remember is that there are eleven irregular verbs in Irish, and are treated differently in every tense.
From there, you can decide what specific things you would like to learn and channel your education accordingly. Good luck! smile
