This is general information for "Lead by Example" a marvel comics based group roleplay that is set in an alternate universe. What makes it alternate? You will be playing the child of your favorite marvel hero.
The idea for the roleplay is a “next generation” of original characters who are either the child of or have some close tie to an established canon hero in the marvel universe. We will take this group of next generation heroes and write a new story together as they try to re-form a new team and reestablish broken bonds never healed from the civil war-era.
I am a seasoned roleplayer of most venues you can possibly roleplay in. I see most group roleplays here on Gaia fail miserably so I will be acting as “storyteller” for this roleplay. I will act as a neutral party for descriptions, NPCs, and help pull the plot when it needs to be done. I won't be taking control of/overseeing everything with an iron fist (I believe in creative freedom and that most "universal storylines" pressed onto players not only suck but squash characters) I will just be here to help maintain a level of quality and spur the story along when it needs it, and play NPCs or other minor characters that may need to come up for the integrity of the story.

Canon characters are welcome, I will personally write as many as need be for your original characters (as needed via character and via the story). Your characters parent(s) do not need to have any part in the story, I’m simply giving it as an option for storytelling purposes. For example, if you want to play the kid of Hawkeye but you don't want to or feel able to write Hawkeye and the character's father either needs to make an appearance or you'd like him to --- I will write the canon character for your benefit/story benefit.
As said above, you may have a character that is not related to any established canon or said-character may have loose ties to a canon character that aided them in basic training or directed them down a positive path as a hero.
As always, you're free to create whatever kind of character you want.
Please note, I do look at every profile and I may have to ask you to change things. The most important thing is that everyone can play, so you can't have a character that is ridiculously powerful (as so often is the case in the Marvel Universe). You may need to make revisions, explain things better, or just put more thought into your character especially if they are chugging some serious powers.
