I thought this article might be of some interests to some of you. Personally I find the article equally agreeable and disagreeable, depending on the disorder in question.
For example I completely agree with removing Asperger's from the new DSM but I firmly believe that gender identity disorder is not actually a psychological condition. I don't believe people with gender identity disorder are ill or suffering any mental defect.

That's interesting.
I believe the diagnosis 'Gender Identity Disorder' is stigmatizing. The only thing that's wrong is the environment, if it's not a supportive one.
You know, of all the disorders I know of, DID is the only one that's purported to be mainly caused by abuse. All the other ones, people seem to think it's genetic.
