There was an emergency at Arkham, Croc hadn't got loose, quite the opposite. He'd trapped two doctors and three guards in his labyrinth of a cell. A large section of the Arkham Sewage system had been dedicated to the Croc. Mainly the 18 ton door keeping him inside kept him from getting out and it was the only way inside. However the morning of the incident Croc remained unresponsive, he lay on the section of mattresses with his tongue out not even breathing. He appeared to be dead and the sonic collar on his neck wasn't working... So the Warden sent two doctors and four armed guards in to see to his condition and with a new collar for him.
When they approached the camera feed died for a brief moment, and when the feed came back, Croc was gone. Realizing they'd been duped, the Warden ordered the Men sent in to run, but the blood curdling scream echoed up into the asylum as Croc attacked the group, and devoured one of the guards on camera... Soon Croc sealed the doors, taking the group as hostages and demanding that he be released without tail or incident or else he would devour a captive every hour...
It was nearing the 45th minute since the event had happened, and the Arkham staff needed to make a choice... let the men suffer a horrific fate or release the beast unto Gotham.
The Warden waited for some aid from the Heroes of the city as he sent word to the Police force that Croc was set to kill five men if he wasn't let go... and to send special help immediately.

As Batman got notified of what Croc did, he raced through Gotham. Heading to Arkham as fast as he could, he didn't want to take Tim or d**k, since he didn't know what Croc wanted but to be released. Since there was no more info about it, he had to take it upon himself to get those men out of there. As he Got to Arkham, he jumped out of the Batmobile, then quickly got to Croc's cell. He looked at one guard, then told him. "Open the door, I'm going in....After I get in, lock it right away...Got it?" The guard nodded at Batman and proceeded with Batman's order, after the door unlocked. Batman ran through, running into a trap, then the guard locking it behind him.
