×[Name] Leon Samson
×[Concept] Doc Samson’s greatest regret.
×[Age] 19
×[Birthday] February 17 2001
×[Sex] Male
×[Hair/Eye Color] Green/Green
×[Height/Weight] 5’5/ 130 lbs
×[Description] Has a slouched posture and clumsy gait. He has fair skin that burns easily. Apart from the telltale hair and eye color, Leon bears little resemblance to his father. He has layered chin-length hair and a slender physique and a slight stutter. Leon favors designer jeans and short sleeve button up shirts or polo shirts.
×[Personality] Leon is passionate about his studies and little else. He rarely expresses strong emotion, but can be violent when angry (he has a habit of throwing things, and has hidden a hole in his bedroom wall, where his fist went through, with a video game poster). He is brilliant, but can sometimes be arrogant and overconfident in his intelligence. Other times the weight of his mind overcomes him and he finds it difficult to even pull himself out of bed.
He has difficulty with interpersonal relationships, even when he does seek them out, but he does have a few close friends that he has known since middle school.
×[History] Leon did not know his mother, and it is believed that she died just after he was born of gamma-bomb related illness. As to how he came to exist, beyond the fact that he was an accident, nobody wants to discuss. So, parenting responsibilities fell to Leonard Samson, and Leonard had a habit of passing the child off to Delilah “Dee Dee” Deerborn (aka Geiger) After working on the Patchwork case together, Geiger and Doc Samson remained in contact with each other. Shortly after Leon was placed into his father’s care, Doc Samson began searching for a babysitter, which was difficult because the assumption upon seeing the child’s green hair was that Leon had superpowers like his father. The only person who was willing to take care of Leon was Delilah, and her babysitting became more frequent during the Civil War and after (until Leon was old enough to stay home alone). Delilah is partly responsible for sparking Leon’s interest in science. She did finish her degree in physics, and is still passionate about it, but she is dedicated to her superheroic activities, but did encourage a young Leon to always ask ‘why?’.
As it turns out, the babysitters had little to fear from young Leon. He is widely believed to not have any powers, and is unregistered. However, his shape shifting abilities have recently manifested, and he has not yet decided whether to register or not. He does not want to be a hero, he just wants to finish his degree in particle physics. The lack of powers and the lack of desire to be a superhero have been a source of disappointment for Leonard, who had hopes of his son following in his footsteps.
Leon’s powers manifested themselves when he first began college, in the fall of 2018. He began college after he aced his high school classes and decided that high school was a waste of his time. Leon thrived his first semester, but his second found him with poor grades. After the summer break, his fall grades were again excellent, and his current semester is going well.
Leon’s first suicide attempt was when he was 14, and he made attempts when he was 16 and 18 as well. None required hospitalization, and he was able to keep his failed attempts secret, not wanting to worry anybody. He has become adept at hiding his dark moods so to not cause concern for his well-being.
×[Family]
[X]Dr. Leonard Samson, father
[X]mother, unknown, assumed deceased
[X]Delilah “Dee Dee” Deerborn, godmother
×[Other]
[X]Currently has two distinct forms for his shapeshifting: an abomination-esque creature with bat-like ears, long claws, and yellow eyes; also a form he calls griffin form with large wings that grow out of his shoulderblades, a beak, mane-like long green hair, a lion tail, taloned bird feet, and retractable claws on his hands. Both forms are significantly stronger than his human form. He has no control over which form he enters, the form is based on his mood when he shifts.
×[Roleplaying Notes]
[X]Drives a Hummer similar to his father’s.
[X]Leon has undiagnosed bipolar disorder. ((At the start of the RP, he’s going to be manic because I don’t want to deal with his being a drama llama yet, and frankly that kind of thing is a scene stealer, and I don’t want to do that.))
