×[Name]: Adolphe Dux

×[Concept]: Basically, a low-level Wolverine, I'd be more focused on his skills then his powers, for a long time.

×[Age]: I don't know, but he was born on August 15th, 1910

×[Sex]: Male

×[Hair/Eye Color]: Black hair, blue eyes. Of course, his hair is just like his father's.

×[Height/Weight]: 5'6(taller then dad!), 186 pounds.

×[Description]: What if Wolverine wasn't a lunatic all the time? Adolphe would look like him, then. Light skin, quite abit of body hair, and highly fit, which fits his active lifestyle. The benefits of a healing factor, for sure. White, perfect teeth, nary a scar or pock-mark to be found, with intense, blue eyes. He has a face which is quite distinguished, but minus the lines or open hostility that his father seems to always carry. He couldn't be called 'handsome' per se, but at the same time those certain few might find him quite attractive...perhaps it's an acquired taste. His hair, of course, suffers from callicks, sticking up in the back, reminiscent of "horns". He's passed the caring stage about it, truth be told.

x[Powers]: Simply enough, He's got all his dad's powers. Bone claws(He really hates these, truth be told. Very, very painful), healing factor, and a sense of smell like a blood hound.

However, his healing isn't as good as dear old dad's. He isn't quite the immortal b*****d, yet. In fact, it's very possible for him to die. Being shot through the head, too much blood-loss, his guts falling out, etc etc, he could very easily bite the bullet, permanently. His healing isn't as fast, though over a long enough time table it's as strong I suppose, and always tires him out, incredibly, to the point where he tries to avoid anything "suicidal". It's certainly doubtful he'd ever survive a surgery to graft a particular metal unto his skeleton.

×[Personality]: Truth be told, Adolphe is restless, confused about his life, and somewhat desperate for some kind of answers. Despite this, he's a much calmer personality then Logan, very accepting of different customs and character quirks, somewhat quieter then others, a dire contrast from his father's bloodlust. It might be in there, somewhere, but he keeps it under much better wraps, for now at least. As life goes on, who knows?

He's also got quite the addictive personality, smoking like a chimney, and hard pressed to refuse a drink when offered. He's also a bit awkward, having no real knack for conversation, or any way to be subtle about the things he wants, other then of course not talking about them.

×[History]: He never knew his father, or how his mother met her. He didn't know what his mother did in those days, or any information. Adolphe grew up in silence, and knew secrets to be vastly important, for this reason, his mother and he never communicated in any way. He never told her of his schooling, of his problems with bullies growing up, nor of his brawling tendencies. (this is when he was healthy enough to attend. For the first few years of his life he was quite deathly ill. Strangely enough, at puberty, it stopped.). Unlike other mutants, his....gifts didn't show themselves right away. For a long time, Adolphe had every right to think that he was normal like every other child around him. It wasn't until he became a sailor that his abilities seemed to slowly emerge themselves. Smelling contraband food that some sailors hid, being strangely resistant to various diseases and also being ready to work again after being knocked overboard and pummeled by killer waves along with everyone else...He considered it a blessing, truth be told, until he ended up stabbing a man in a bar fight in Italy.

But Adolphe wasn't carrying a knife. And the man had three puncture marks. Adolphe quickly left, hiding out in the European countryside, quickly learning that he was anything but human. This was how he lived, honestly, with no real concept of time. He missed out on both world wars(though he saw signs of it where he went), and it wasn't until many years ago that he caught a glimpse of the international news on a Russian TV. There were mutants fighting American robots designed to catch them. Adolphe was used to this, after learning through papers, and deducing that he also was a Mutant. When he was about to turn away, he saw something, that would change his life.

One of the strange costumed ones, a small man in yellow, with black horns on his mask, he jerked his hands back, and...and claws popped out of his knuckles! Except they weren't bone, they were metal. As this small one shredded the throat of a downed Sentinel, it stuck what looked to be a machine gun turret from it's mouth, and ripped into the poor man, causing him to fly back against a building wall, before collapsing on the floor, dead. It was a gruesome sight, and Adolphe wanted to turn away despite the slain Mutant's coincidental likeness to himself, but he saw...he saw that man get back up, and it was plain to see, his injuries healing up! He had claws(except they were metal), and and he could heal? That was too much...there was someone else like him somewhere. Maybe he had answers! Answers for what Adolphe was! Answers for WHO he was!

Well, it's been difficult work, scrounging up money, but Adolphe has finally landed in the land of opportunity, America! Finally time, to continue with his journey. His journey, to find out where he belongs in this world.

×[Family]

Wolverine/Logan/John Howlette(ugh): Father

Sabretooth/Victor Creed: Grandfather?

X-23/Laura Somethingorother: Father? Unsure of what you father's clone counts as. Maybe an aunt?

Draken/Whatever else his name is: Brother

Mother: Deceased.

×[Skills]: Adolphe has a number of skills he's picked up over the years. He speaks a number of languages(French, English, Spanish, Hungarian, Russian, Czech, Italian, and German), he's well versed in Savate and general brawling, He's a great swimmer, excellent with knots and with sailing and ship maintenence, is a pretty good cook, can act as a medic, can be pretty sneaky when he wants to be, and has the ability to lay low.

×[Roleplaying Notes]: I love Wolverine. I worshipped him as a child, so much that as a child I would put pencils between my fingers and pretend to slash at Sabretooth with my claws. Like every other reader, my brain exploded when I found out about his bone claws, and when he pined for Jean, I secretly decided that if Cyclops died fighting Apocalypse or something, it wouldn't be the end of the world. But it went much deeper then his powers and his crazy claws, I was amazed by his character, by the sheer complexity that was apparant. Even in his face, he was very clearly distinguished from seemingly any other comic character that was a clear human. I guess others shared my opinions, because Wolverine, quite obviously, has become exceedingly popular. So popular, in fact, that others have justifiably grown tired of seeing him absolutely everywhere. Avengers. Alpha-Flight. The X-Men. the Fantastic Four. The Horsemen. JLA. JSA. Back-up bassist for Led Zeppelin. Starbucks Employee of the month. Ok, perhaps those last few were falsified, but would it honestly surprise any of us if they came into fruition?

Because of his immense popularity, they've had to do a lot with the character. Where as before his name was simply 'Logan' and his past was up for debate, now his name is John Howlette, and his past is as defined and obvious as anyone else's. Where as before an uzi or a room full of gunmen could worry Wolverine just a little, now he falls from the atmosphere of planets and heals back from being a literal skeleton. Being such a Wolverine fan, and having spurred on his increasing popularity as a child, I feel somewhat responsible, and I feel I must apologize to the rest of you. I never meant for all this ridiculousness, I merely came every time I saw Wolverine fighting Sabretooth on a comic cover, or seeing him battle-damaged and guerrila-killing the Hellfire Club henchmen. I didn't know what it would lead to. I don't think any of us did.

So, in response, I've made Adolphe. Adolphe is NOT the spitting badass rebel image of his father. He doesn't laugh at danger, he in fact fears for his life when facing impossible odds. His claws cannot slice through every material flawlessly, he in fact is very hesitant to use them, hating the pain it causes. If Adolphe ever finds himself on the X-Men or Young Avengers or any other team, he won't be telling off the leader every panel, in fact he'd probably take their advice immediately rather then put himself on the spot of making a choice. In terms of power levels, I liken him to '70s/early '80s Wolvie, regenerative but far from immortal. In terms of personality, he doesn't even come close to Wolverine except for occasional 'lone-wolf' behaviors. I certainly hope I didn't worry everyone with this profile, and hope I have fun playing with you all.

Thank you.
