DID YOU KNOW...
The Talmud says that you can break ANY commandment if it will save a life or prevent a serious detriment to health? Except for the Commandment not to kill.
Some examples...
---Circumcision is required for all Jewish males, but if circumcision might kill the baby or even just cause some serious health problems, the Circumcision is postponed or even canceled.
---Many of the Jews in hiding during the Holocaust had to abandon Kosher eating in order to survive.
But when you consider the situation, I think G-d probably understood where their priorities were.
Kind of makes Martydom more complicated, doesn't it?
