~ Named after their love of books along with Rayl's FairyTale-Esque knightly views and Maewen's (now dead) princess-esque views. This one seems the most blatantly obvious one ( notice how quick we came up with it in the OOC Thread.)
~Reasoning for: Rayl is willing to get himself hurt to protect her ( when they first encountered Drake), and even more willing to continue after his defeat by said Fire Adept, chasing them all the way to The Lighthouse.

Maewen's Thoughts
Taking a moment to wipe her eyes once more, she tried to form at least a small smile. Rayl... he'd come all this way, just for her? Well, perhaps her and...
~Reasoning Against: Rayl's willingness to help her could be the whole concept of 'Knight Saves Maiden' from the fairy tales. It also could be to help repay the kindness of Maewen's Mother, considering the amount of times he'd woken up there after getting beaten senseless by bullies ( as to why he wouldn't fight back is still odd.). In the End it's still easily debatable on his intentions, whether they be love-romantic, hero-romantic ( you know the whole knight saves maiden thing?) or otherwise.
Napshipping: Drake x Maewen.
~ Named for the event that lead to their official introductions. This one is also pretty darn obvious (huzzah! Maewen goes well with EVERYONE! derp.)
~ Reasons For: The two do get along well, and are pretty friendly with each other as they make their way through the Lighthouse. Oh there's definantly a fire here ( derp a durr hurr), and it has melted (derpa durr) Drake's Cold exterior (a hurr) when he is aroundd Maewen. And just his mental tracks are enough to support this on a, at least, one sided manner. However there is some feelings returned, though not necessarily on the same level.

...I didn't know that I have any energy left in me. My heart is racing with all that's left. And Maewen? She felt so warm, so soothing...So, she wasn't leaving him behind? After all that had happened? How... predictable. Maewen, you're too kind for your own good. As she tightened her grip on his arm, he suddenly embraced her, and whispered a soft, "Thank you, for everything," before releasing her.
~ Reasons Against: It's doubted that she'll be happy when she learns how a Certain stranger (Drake.) had snuck into her house, burned part of her town, beaten up a new friend/acquaintance/other half of Storyshipping, kidnapped her, and being dragged all the way to the Lighthouse for the sake of extinguishing it. Maewen is pretty confused herself after Rayl came in and explained everything in a typical Rayl manner.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I think of Drake x Maewen. There's definitely something there, but I don't know that Drake would ever actually pursue someone like Maewen. He sees her as almost flawless, and given his realizations, as much as he may want to be with Maewen, he may already consider her lost to him in that regard. That, and he's pretty much figured that Rayl may have feelings for Maewen, and thus might push for that scenario if only because he may believe it better for her. That being said, if he was certain Maewen was interested, he very well may go for it. As made apparent by his proposal for her to accompany him, Drake is very much glad to have her around.
Mudshipping: Rayl x Mirian
~Named for the fact that two different things are mixed into something not entirely pleasant, but still mixed.
~Reasons for: Have you ever watched one of those movies where this guy and girl are complete opposites and have to work together, and after they catch the criminal/save the world/something else the fall in love? It's like that.
Rayl's Thoughts
...he gave Mirian another one of those 'looks' only it wasn't one of the usual death glares, but one of recognition, and...respect? That was odd...
~Reasons Against: If you've read the thread, it should be obvious. This is a logical crack pairing, which is the sole reason it's up here, and as such it could go either way and will stay up until otherwise. A Relationship could form here, either friendly or something much more. Rayl's actions around here are either laong the lines of "you're alright" or "I REALLY Hate you."

The sharp look over his shoulder to Mirian was not unnoticed, a flash in his eyes cold as steel and the weather about them. Whether this was towards her previous comments about knightly nonsense, or of her recent comment was left unknown.
