Today I and my fiancee went to Petco and he fell in love with King Bettas. He asked me if we could use my 10 gallon for it with some community fish. I told him I wasn't for sure but I can ask some people about it.
I know king bettas are a lot less aggressive then the normal bettas since that was how they were bred. But I would like to know what kind community fish I could house with him if we get one?

depends on the king. mine is housed alone in a 5gal so i dont really know how they do in communities. ive heard of some people say that theirs were more aggressive than a regular betta. i put 0 trust in the personality part of breeding when petco is involved, ive had girl bettas who would kill anything in their path. ive also gotten plenty of nonaggressive boys that did well with other bettas
dont overstock your tank, king bettas are bigger and will probably want a bigger territory so keep that in mine, leave plenty of hiding spots, and good luck.
kings are awesome though and i dont think ill ever get a regular betta again. the kings look so prehistoric and beautiful. well worth the price

Sausage fishies!!! (You cant tell me they dont look like sausages! Dont deny it XD). I would say they can go with what ever other Bettas can. Pygmy Corries, Ottos, Snails, Shrimp, ect. There is a Betta Care Guide in the Fish Care Subforum and there is a list of fish that have beem successfully kept with Bettas. I would start there, then decide what to get based on the personality of the Betta.

XD We are still in the might area of deciding but if we dont get one for the current tank I want to get one for another tank to put into the baby's room to liven things up plus I know some babies to calm down when they see fish swimming around. Thank you everyone for your input. C=

They are so cute and never stop moving whee Good luck with what ever you decide to do =D
