Everytime I watch a horror movie on my television, it turns out to be pretty suckish. Are there any good ones you'd suggest?

On tv? Not really. Well, it depends. If you get cable or dish and you have TCM (Turner Classic Movies), they play some pretty good horror movies in October. The best part about their channel is that they never air commercials during the movies so recording quality will be good. The only thing is, unless you're a big fan of black and white horror movies or horror movies from the 50's and before, then I wouldn't recommend watching that channel. If you have cable and get channels 300, 301 or 302 (I think) one of those channels gets horror movies like Carrie and Christine in October.
As for good horror movies that aren't on TV, I would definitely say Cannibal Holocaust directed by Ruggero Deodato. If you really want a creepy/disturbing horror movie, get Cannibal Holocaust however you can! It really is a mock-snuff film. Very controversial and was banned in many countries. Even by today's standards and it came out in 1980 in Italy and 1983 in the USA. If you like Italian horrors or basically anything from Dario Argento, you might like Cannibal Holocaust. It's not an Argento film, but it's similar as far as gore goes. It's not mind-trippy like Susperia but it's got its "Oh my god did that just happen?!" moments.
