Located to the east of Violet City, Route 31 is a realtively safe route, with many weak pokemon, and a common place for the students of the trainer's academy to train their pokemon, and catch more. it is also home to one of the three enterances to Dark Cave, which links it to blackthorn city in the northeast for those strong enough to traverse it.
