A city on the sea, Cherrygrove city is a peaceful little town, with just a few houses, the local pokemon center, and a pokemart. linking Routes 29, and thirty, and as a result, new bark town, home of the Johto Pokemon Lab, and Violet city, home of the first of many johto gyms, the town tends to get a steady flow of new trainers passing through. one of the few other things of interest in this town, is the yearly Lapras migrations, which pass by very close to the shore, and are visible from the shoreline with binoculars.
