I really like some racing games, almost as much if not more than some FPS's thats why i posted it here. After much delay and many people pulling out and buying new pre-orders GT5 (gran turismo) is finally out on the market as a PS3 exclusive, This new installment of the enormusly customizable Gran Turismo serries has added over 1000 cars and 45 tracks and the ability to auction off your amazingly customized cars off at a well...auction!
I cant wait to get this game, what are you thoughts other than "This is a FPS club not a racing club!" and if you have any problems with this then get it removed!

When I heard that GT5 still did not have the total customization feature that the Forza Motorsport series had, I was really disappointed. Sure, damage modeling makes it debut in GT5 for the first time, but isn't it time for Polyphony to really take a page out of Turn 10's book (Turn 10 Studios is the company that makes the Forza series, in case you were wondering) and make something truly worthwhile to their series? The first 2 Gran Turismo games had a customization feature for the cars (although it's not even close to the level that the Forza games had) until GT3. That's just inexcusable.
I don't plan on buying another Gran Turismo game until Polyphony finally sees the light.

Yea i finally go the game a few weeks after it came out... i was dissapointed to say the least. I thought that the game should have had alot more, being a console and comuter gamer i can say that the racing game for PS3 are alot better than the ones for computer, although i prefer FPS's with at least a keyboard (things like the "eagle eye" adapter help here). I still think that GT5 was no where near worth how long it took to produce. I think that they had one person sit there and add every new car that came out for the past 3 years... and since all of the cheaper dealers have been spitting out cars faster than the lady on "monty pythons: the meaning of life" with all the kids, thats why it took so long (that was obviously sarcasim). but as i stated before, this was a huge let down for how long the game was in production, i blame low standards...

I can just imagine the folks at Turn 10 laughing their asses off at Kazunori Yamauchi and his company for ditching the customization feature in favor of more cars, tracks, and the almighty dream of making their games as close to photo-realism as humanly possible. That's what Polyphony is probably dead set on doing with their beloved [Gran Turismo] series.
Someone needs to punch Kazunori's clock and tell him that we want to fully customize our favorite cars and, if people care enough, courses as well as our songs in our favorite racing series. Otherwise, it's going to be like what the Pokemon series has always been: same games, same content, hardly to no new features, and a fanbase that is just about akin to that of the dreaded Final Fantasy and Halo series (even though the GT series' fanbase is not even close to matching those other franchises).
