So my dad bought home a tank that a guy from his work didn't want. Since I am not smart and have no idea about gallons (we measure water in litres over her) I thought it was 10 gal. I was going to get some guppies. But now I've worked it out and it's about 5 gal.
So besides a betta (which I am thinking I will probably get) is there anything else that'll fit in there besides a betta? Could guppies still be in there
*Just as a side note, I will be researching before I get any fish. My parent don't even want me to have fish until the house we're currently living in is sold and we've moved out I'll convince them to let me have fish sooner
EDIT: Wait sorry. Maybe it is a 10 gal. Everything about fish that I read is in gallons, when I only need litres. I'm currently working it out now...

Depending on what size it is, you could very well not have many opptions.
If its a 5, you do one of these-
1 Betta
Up to 3 African Dwarf Frogs
3 or less Male or Female Guppies (dont do mixed sex, as you will be over run by fry in that small of a tank)
Invertabrate tank (Snails and/or shrimp)
Up to 3 Sparkling Gouramis
You could even mix most of these, but make sure you do your homework =)
10 gallon-
Up to 3 Bettas (with dividers, oviously)
1 African CLAWED Frog (this would have to be by its self, but they are neat little things)
Up to 6 African Dwarf Frogs
Up to 6 Guppies (you could do mixed sex if you wanted to. 1 male to two or three females is best)
Up to 3 Platies
I'm just throwing ideas out there. You can mix and match just about any of these ideas, I was just going by single species only. A planted invertabrate tank would be really neat if its a 5 gallon! Since shrimp tend to have a low bio-load, you can pretty much have however many of them you want =)
