Cashmere Cactus
Greetfriends,
If you've ever laughed at something on Gaia, there's about a 55% chance it was the work of Josh B. (boxcarsocial), a very wonderful and talented writer who worked here from 2007 to late 2010. His career had many great highlights, including lots of amazing writing for events, almost getting us all fired for the "Get Fisted" banner ad and slipping the phrase "for all your lady-shavin' needs" into a sponsorship announcement for razors.
He was universally beloved for his deadpan humor, stoic facial expression, respect for dogs, fondness of cowboys and undisguised contempt for all of us. We miss him terribly (he's not dead, but he moved to Portland and we're all too lazy to visit him).
Josh was fond of annoying the artists by telling them to make nonsensical items. He often suggested strange EIs like "Gary's Island Adventure" and "Dark Chef," both of which I worked into an Evolving Item Report one time. But his favorite nonsense item request was always "Dog Warz," which was just a thought bubble above your avatar with two dogs fighting in it.
As a tribute to our lovely lost boy, legendary Gaia artist Juno has lovingly crafted Dog Warz, which you can get for free by clicking this link:
Wear Dog Warz in good health, and think of Josh when you do. Be sure to share the above link with your friends, too.
